FIELD TRIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The 2024 UHA field trial will be held June 22/23 near Heber, Utah. More details to come.

With bear populations down in many units in the state, and mother nature not quite ready to give up on the winter storms, it's been a slow start to the bear season for a lot of folks. Here's to hoping things pick up and everyone can enjoy the last few weeks of the spring season. Good luck out there

"My son has two bluetick hound dogs. They are 3-years old. Started bluetick hound dogs. Brother and Sister duo. They have been out with older finished dogs. Show great promise. My son has been out of the country the last few winters and so they haven’t been out as much as they should. I would really like to see them re-homed and be used for what they are made to do. Do you know how I could get this information out? The few houndsmen that I know have enough dogs right now."

Jeff Brewer is donating a 1 month hound training. This will be in our banquet auction. Handling, ground work, and starting your young hound. Dog will be worked 4 to 6 days per week. 5 day North Carolina Guided Bear Hunt
This is an awesome package donated by fellow houndsmen.

Hunt the Great Smokey Mountains or pick to go to the swamps of Eastern North Carolina with a chance to harvest a 500lb black bear. This is an action packed hound hunt with 100% success rate on harvest for the past 5 years!

Winning bidder will be responsible for purchasing North Carolina hunting license and accommodations for the length of their stay. Mountain dates September 28 to November 24. Coastal dates November 18-24. The guide will work with you on which 5 days are best.
