As you break bread this week alone or with others during Thanksgiving food feasts remember;
Jesus is the bread of life. Feed on his word for your spirit and soul.
Remember it about giving thanks to the lord above all else for who he us is,his blessings,provision and thanks to others .
On a practical note,be careful around your pets. A lot of human food can make them critically sick or kill them. Bones are not an option. They can cut throat and intestines.

Rest. Have you ever thought about how much focus we put on work and partially rightfully so?
But we often glorify a workaholic on multiple levels. Really it's wrong and unbalanced.
Scripture tells us when things started God worked then took time to rest. He completed the task planned.
There are different types of rest too.
The absence of it causes all sorts of confusion, anger or other emotions. Some of us need to find ways to relax and just breath fresh air. Some of us need quality sleep. Some of us need the right kind of fun activities. Some of us need to accept something the Lord is or has led us to and settle.
The bread being broken tonight is look for your 7th day. It was after doing each day's task and not overdoing btw that the 7th day came and God rested...Genesis.
Seems if God rested we need to develop ours...

Who puts on the flowers?
Have you ever thought about the dead folks in cemetaries- the ones who have nobody still around to place a token of love,care,you mattered...
True some brought their own destiny by lifestyle, meanness,attitude,attempt at communication for restoration or ...
I'm not addressing that though.
Some may be old family cemeteries from long ago mismanaged,forgotten, sold. I'm not so much focused on that as it has other factors though inclusive.
But so many graves are desolate or have no remembrance token. Often its geographical limits because someone does care but limited.
Who puts on the flowers to remember a life that mattered? Perhaps it was a person who had no extended family and their original got too busy with their lives leaving them behind.
That happens in numerous ways.
Who puts on the flowers?
It's sad to see so much barren places when I place mine for who I have loved.
I wonder in each of us if there is a space to place just one in an empty place.
It won't change them nor will it change their location in heaven or hell based on if they had accepted a d walked with Jesus in their heart before they died. Death finalized that opportunity.
But you know that little act of kindness, if thoughtfulness might change us,just a little. It might make us take more time to care for those we love still here. It might change us to make reconciliation if needed or try before then. It might make us change our daily attitude and action to make time now for those we say we care about,we say we want to meet briefly for a bite or movie or or...but don't.
It might make us just a little better...an action not seen but a sprinkle of compassion.
Who puts on the flowers?
Be kind one to another.

I picked a yellow squash today.
Now that might seem minor to you.
But this is the 3hrd year I've worked on growing them. It got slightly better. But they show signs of fruit but don't get through the right process to develop. So its a big deal.
Sometimes we wonder why things dont produce. It can be because another source didnt do their part. Part of the non squash growth is that. But other times we're not where we should be to obtain from that source including water sunshine or even rest from it. Too much can cause trouble. It has to soak in.
May we each pick the squash- because its there and made it.
In due season we shall reap ...process brings season

Reminded of a section in a movie series I've had watched where someone made a popular yet frighteningly believable statement wrapped in appeal to someone who did not know scripture.
In a moment of urgency on their journey one if them quoted from earlier instruction; 'what if we make God but he doesn't make us '...'what if we determine...'
Ok y'all that is from the pit of hell.
It shows the subtlety of the level of believable deception we are under on numerous ways.
God makes us. We do NOT make God.
It's not our job to mandate our fate to God.
It's God ...Psalm 100:3 ..."it is he who made us and not we ourselves."
That twisted distorted lie dethrones God in its failed attempt, though we can yield to the falseness of it controlling us. People this is an example of how important it us is to spend time in the word of God and pursuit of it's truth.
It is the only real truth.

Matthew 11:28-30
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.
What kind of heaviness are you carrying? Are you anxious, stressed,depressed about it?
Peace...learn to cultivate relationship with Jesus, the guidance and comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Learn...its a growth and relational process not just an introduction benefit.
There can be a peace that is not understood, not logical but there.
This labor day can be change for you if you let it.

We think negatively about it. May I suggest better wording of 'alone'.
Do you have a designated area/ place or several ...designated as a place to be alone with God?
Relationship of any kind to be of any quality comes from being with that individual.
Find your place to be "lonely" ...to be alone with God to pray.

Proverbs 25..'Reliable friends who do what they say,...'
Have you ever had a 'friend' say they wanted to get together for an activity, a meal, coffee/ tea catch- up or ...?
Then they didn't or didn't or didn't.
Have you told someone you wanted to yet you didn't, didn't didn't...?
We've all been in the 'really want to' but something came up valid or not haven't we?
It's what we do thereafter that matters.
Have you been in the 'looking forward to it' then disappointed when it didn't happen, while realizing it may because there's a good reason. Or have you cancelled and not re-scheduled the plans?
Look at the next part of this verse..'are like cool drinks in sweltering heat-refreshing.'
Often integrity is missing in our society. Other times we really don't want to do it to start with so we essentially lie or mislead the other person by trying to be nice when it would be better to be honest to start with by politely saying ,not interested or similar.
'Friend' is part of the preface here and a wide subject in itself.
But if you are, are you?
Do you say and not do?
Priority things and preferences happen for us all.
The key is when we say or plan something with others that we do not carry out but then don't call to follow up. Or do we rely on the the other to make all the contact and we just wait till our convenient time thus leaving them hanging?
Disappointment results and hangs in men and women often from observance or numerous conversations I've had.
Consider your proper response or initiating follow up to a deferred planned get together or need can alter someone to an extent.
"RELIABLE FRIENDS WHO DO WHAT THEY SAY ARE LIKE COOL DRINKS IN SWELTERING HEAT-REFRESHING. "
Proverbs 25...
We know the importance of a cold iced tea or water on a hot humid day don't we.
Are you the reliable friend you claim or...?
And yet if a 'friend' has proved to be unreliable then perhaps the lord is exposing they are not yours or it may simply be time for a friendly chat for growth of the friendship. Just remember sometimes the 'cancel' is valid. Its the follow up initiation or not that tells the facts.
