Anyways,

This is the face of someone whose 2023 was a wild adventure. And not a fun one.

This is the year where some of my biggest fears came to life.

This was also a year where I had a few small victories. But those victories were short lived. Because reality would often swoop back in and say “HAHA! F*ck you. That’s not your life; that’s someone else’s and you were just borrowing it”.

I gained a lil bit. And I lost a lot. And quite frankly, anyone that’s had conversations with me this year knows that I wanted to quit and move back home to Houston.

I can’t tho. I’ve come too far. I just need to do some tweaks along the way so I can stay the course.

In the midst of all that sh*t, I am thankful to those who’ve walked with me. Be it for a season; be it for more than that. Those who invited me into their circles, those who came through when I was in desperate need, those who helped me back up on my feet, those who prayed- thank you. You were among the few lights in this dark-a** year.

But I am reminded that as long as I am breathing, I’ve got a chunk of life to live for. And I’m going to into 2024 remembering that fact. I’m not alone.

All that to say, 2023 was the WORST f*cking year of my life. And idk what 2024 has in store. But I do know for sure that I’m going into it kickin’ a** and praising God.

It really sucks when you gain a friendship unlike any you’ve had before, only for life circumstances to occur that lead you both to not see each other for a while. Sarah’s that friend. We just vibe on a different frequency and I find myself being more real with her than I usually am. I really hate that she had to move back home today but I also understand that in this season, it is absolutely necessary.

Anyways, I just woke up to brag on her and let the world know that I have some really great friendships in my life. And Sarah is proof. I’m gonna miss seeing her dearly!! But I know for sure we’re gonna see other again 👌🏾
