y’all know jasmine + josh - they’re not new around here. well, earlier this month, i had the privilege of capturing their ENGAGEMENT!!! i have truly never met a couple more in love with each other + in love with jesus. they radiate the love + joy of the lord so passionately + it is so beautiful. josh’s only request when planning this proposal was that it was in front of the cross. so much so, that he made this one himself + carried it to the top of the hill where he popped the question. these two souls belong together + i am so happy for them + this next journey.

oh, the many, wonderful things i could say about this family + their sessions. kara reached out to me about maternity photos back in the fall. she definitely prepared me via email, but i don’t think i fully comprehended until i was standing in front of her crew what their reality was.

andrew + kara already had 2 biological children, + then adopted a son a few years ago. they found out last spring that they would be welcoming another child into their family at the end of 2023. they then got a call that 3 sweet boys needed a home, and they took them all in (if you knew andrew + kara, this would come as no surprise because their hearts for jesus are maybe the most evident thing about them). they are now in the next stages of fostering those 3 boys, + have officially welcomed their little one. incase you might have lost count, that’s 7 kiddos.

one of the best things about this job is that i get to tell a story with my work. maybe my favorite part of this story is that the grasty family started 2023 as a family of 5, and ended the year as a family of 9. maybe it’s that not a single one of these children whined, griped, or complained about taking a single one of these photos, + even with all these bodies, it was one of my most relaxed sessions yet. maybe it’s that through this job i get to make connections with people that i just know i will forevermore have a relationship with that goes a little deeper than photography.

whatever the reason, i believe that no one is put in our paths by accident + it’s all part of divine intervention. kara + andrew, i love your little bunch + keep on doing the kingdom work - it’s beyond inspiring + beautiful. 🤍
