SPECIAL RECOGNITION
Immense congratulations to Kangwa Sampa and Martha Zulu our best graduating students in the School of Engineering and Technology, Engineering Department.

Kangwa “Super K” Sampa graduated with a merit in Bachelors of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He fell shy of a distinction by 4.5 points.
The EIZ-MU SC had a quick chat with Kangwa who described his engineering journey as one that had both setbacks and good moments. He had his fair share of bad grades and contemplated giving up. However, he chose to look at the bigger picture and push himself on.

When asked what his secret is, Kangwa responded with, “STUDYING”. Understanding how best his brain worked when it came to studying and being able to be disciplined when he could have been out having fun or just chilling were key to his success. Sampa encouraged BEng students to keep putting in effort and not to waver when faced with failure.

In addition to scooping the best research award in her field, Martha Zulu graduated as best female engineering student with a credit in the Bachelors of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

EIZ MU Student Chapter Inspires Local Secondary School Students to Pursue Engineering.

To commemorate African Engineering Week, the EIZ Mulungushi University Student Chapter conducted a career outreach program to Muteteshi School on Friday, 26th September, 2023. Because education is the best equalizer, we thought it best to bring the world of engineering to the doorstep of our community school. This was done with the aim of fostering an interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields amongst the Grade 11 and 12 pupils at the school.

By reaching out to our local community and encouraging students to explore engineering, we hope to have sown the seeds of innovation and progress in the hearts of tomorrow's engineers. In a world where engineering solutions are more critical than ever, initiatives like these serve as a reminder that inspiration can come from unexpected places, and it's never too early to start nurturing the engineers of the future.
