Thank you for following us!
We went to visit Great Ormond Street Hospital today, it is amazing to see everything they do for the kids to feel at home and not have the impression to live in a hospital. Everything is arranged for them to keep living their life as normal as possible, they have a school, a playing area, there us a Church and parents can even stay there if they are not from London.
Amazing to see how much they care!
Again, thank you to you all!!
Hi everyone,
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated on our JustGiving page or directly to us!! All the money has now been transferred onto the page. We have managed to raise a total of £4,193.54, which is absolutely amazing, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without your help!
We will be visiting Great Ormond Street Hospital tomorrow morning and let them know how kind and generous you all have been!
Again, thank you very much for your help and support, we really appreciate it!!
Denise, Louise, Melodie and Shaun.

Hi everyone, apologies, the excitement was so big that it has never been said that we have arrived!!! But yes, we made it to John O'Groats!!! :)
It took us one puncture, two chains who decided that staying on the ring wasn't what they wanted, a pain on the ankle, two crashes, but we arrived safely to our destination after having cycled 1,000 miles.
It was such an amazing experience, we are very pleased to have done it in memory of Mason!
If you haven't donated yet, you can still do it via this link:

Any donation will be more than welcome!!
Also, massive well done to Denise and Shaun who were the only 2 out of 20 cyclists who managed to climb the Lecht on their bikes!!
Thank you everyone for following us, it was very good for us to see all the support we had!!! :)
The Raindrops. X
Here we are... Day 13 is done, we are now down to our final day tomorrow!! We shall reach John O'Groats in the afternoon!
Day 12 done... It involved climbing the Lecht.. We got there eventually!! Really tough day, lots of hills but hey, who said it was supposed to be easy?!
The feelings we have on this whole journey can't be explained.. It is amazing and you have to live it to understand it. All the pictures you see (from us or internet) don't do justice to the reality! It is all so worth it!!
Here are some pictures taken while climbing the Lecht.
Day 11 is now done. That was 85 miles ish, probably the toughest one so far. A climb of about 25 miles to get to the top of the highest road in Europe (above 2,000 feet). It is hard, but so worth it. The thought of Mason helps us push harder when we think we will never reach the top! We are now all in bed, very tired, ready to rest to climb the Lecht tomorrow! X
A big thank you to Bill who rode a 80 miler a few days ago and dedicated it to us!! It means a lot!! We have just come back (about an hour ago) from our 80 miler today!! Lovely landscapes, but Scottish roads are not quite bike friendly...!
We have just been climbing 1,000 feet over 7 miles.
We made it to Moffat today!! 5 days to go...! But let's point at the essential: Shaun has got a sore bum and we still can't find Louise's trousers!!!!
Here we are!!!!
So.. Melodie had a bike crash today inevitably followed by a bad fall.. The bike seems alright!!
We survived day 8! And now day 9 has made an apparition already... Time to get up!!
Lovely, isn't it? Can you guess what we have to climb?? Nah.. Just kidding.. Not today!! But nevertheless, we are really at the bottom of a hill we need to climb right now.
We have passed the 500 miles mark now!!!
So, going up a little hill this morning in our granny gear, we wondered how we have managed the first three days... Then we remembered that we will have to climb the Lecht in a few days.. Let's stop thinking now, shall we..?!
Day 8, time to go!!
Thank you all for following us, it feels really good to have support from you all! X
Day 7 done!! Halfway in terms of days, nearly halfway in terms of distance! Look at that nice room waiting for us!
Here is Tarmac Johnny!!! One of our guides ;)
The view at the pub where we are having lunch today.. 38 miles down, 35 to go!
Happy Birthday to Shaun who is celebrating is 50th on the trip with us!!!
Day 7, waiting for the morning brief before we go!!
After 77 miles, day 6 is now done!! Over 400 miles done now, 8 days to go!! Look how well looked after we are on our tea stops!
Hi guys!!
No signal or WIFI at the youth hostel yesterday so we couldn't put any update.. We have made it through day 5 and we are now 28 miles into day 6!! 50 miles to go!! X
And he is back!!! Mileage done! Well done and thank you for doing this :) we all really appreciate.
As for us,we are at the last tea stop, about 10 miles to go!!
Day 5... Getting ready! Good luck to Christophe Flamant who has decided to show his support by doing a leg of the trip with us (but in France!). He will be doing 58 miles too today! Good luck, and thank you!! :-) X
We had to dig deep again... The hills weren't as bad as the last few days but the legs are getting tired... But day 4 is now done!! We've been on the Clifton Suspension Bridge and on the Severn bridge (very windy!!).
On the Clifton suspension bridge, ready to cross!!
They are doing their own challenge as a team!
Day 4, here we go!!! 64 miles heading to Monmouth!
Hi all, after spending the night in Glastonbury, we are now getting ready for day 4!!!
Day 3 done!! All looking forward to a shower..
Less than 800 miles to go!!
Day 3 starting in 20 minutes! Starting with a hill! 72 miles to do.
It might be wet, windy, raining and hilly, the landscapes stay amazing and the Raindrops smiling!!
Day 2 done!!! Raining the whole morning and very hilly, but such lovely landscapes!!
We are on day 2!! Rainy day.. Hilly day... 11 miles done, 50 to go!!
