Our justice system is now a kangaroo court and the USA is now a banana republic. It has never been more important to keep up your OPSEC and ensure your preps are in order. This is a very sad day for patriots.

As many of you know, I only use Facebook on this page and in private groups. It is what it is and now, more than ever, individuals who embrace freedom and self-sufficiency need to guard their privacy. Interesting that preppers are no longer ridiculed as crazy nut jobs. I honestly believe that 2024 is the year of the prepper. What are your thoughts? More to follow.

It is shocking that so many members of our younger generation do not understand the ramifications of a socialist/communist ideology. I see a train wreck coming and continue to prepare for the worst of all outcomes. Even at my age, I continue to embrace self sufficiency and privacy. It is the only way to stay sane during these crazy and dangerous times.

I realize it has been over a year since I have shared anything. Honestly, I had every intention but procrastination set in. Anyway, I want to let you know that I am formulating a CBD lotion and will share the results soon. I intend to come up with something a bit lighter than a salve and more suitable for large areas (such as arms or legs post-workout). I also have good results using CBD on my face and would prefer a lotion for that purpose.

How is everyone doing? The crazy world I first wrote about in 2010 seems to be even crazier.

Strategic Living: Propane for Preppers 3.0: The Complete Book Part 1 For over ten years, propane has played an important role in my preparedness life. Both my former home in Washington State and my mountain home in Arizona have relied on propane for heat, cooking, and hot water as well as the incidentals of BBQs, fire pits, and lanterns.

I have talked about writing about propane for quite some time, and finally, the moment is now. Today I uploaded Part 1 to "Propane for Preppers", the complete book written by my friend, Ron Brown​.

Some of you may remember that I had written two separate series about propane on my former website. One of those two eventually became the meat and potatoes of Ron's book which is Book 7 of The Non-Electric Lighting Series. Although you will find the book for sale on Amazon, Ron has graciously allowed me to share the entire book verbatim on Strategic Living.

First of all, let me say that all is healthy and well in my household. Both Shelly and I have had our vaccinations and are venturing out a bit more. Something that has happened over the last year is a shift in what I deem to be normal. My normalcy bias has reset itself and honestly? This is not a good thing as I find it feeds my "doing it myself and alone" tendencies. For all intents and purposes, I now see that I have checked out of life this last year. I want to work very hard to remedy that and to face each day with more joy.

So, what do I have to say today? First of all, I have a long list of long-promised blog posts ready to go, including a chapter by chapter reprint of my book, The Prepper's Guide to Food Storage and Ron Brown's "Propane For Preppers". These will be blog posts and they will be 100% free. In addition, I have more to share about CBD and essential oils and a CBD giveaway (or two or three!).

By the way, social media is almost 100% gone from my life with the exception of this page, a couple of soapmaking and adult coloring groups, and a bit of Pinterest. Shelly got the COVID vaccine this morning as part of the opening of Phase 1B here in Arizona. It was very orderly and organized. He feels fine and has no reactions whatsoever. He received the Pfizer vaccine. Looking forward to getting mine when Phase 1C opens.
