Summer break greets Jenny, a discouraged high school student failing in algebra, in low spirits as she fears disappointing her single mother who works multiple jobs, yet again. This scenario replays at the close of each school year, as math has always been Jenny's weakest subject. As such, they both believed they were doomed in a vicious cycle of mental and emotional distress.

However, a chance encounter between Jenny and a retired math teacher, Mr. Lordul, leads to a powerful transformation for both daughter and mother. Under Mr. Lordul's tutelage, Jenny walks readers through the process of un-learning to re-learn new approaches to math concepts that were once frustrating and unclear. This formulaic subject is made accessible, and daresay, enjoyable as these two journey along, finding creative approaches to explain the complex. Together, they tap into a reservoir of prior knowledge by replacing standard classroom language with relatable terms and commonplace scenarios.

Jenny Solves for Life is a math novel filled with analogies and illustrations to help readers discover their fullest potential in math and in life. Barriers to success (bullying, anxiety, self-doubt, fear) are thoughtfully addressed to promote self-efficacy.

This book is for all age groups; for those who think they dislike math; and for people struggling academically, socially, and personally. This feel-good novel is for you!

Math is the hidden secret to understanding the world | Roger Antonsen 17/12/2019

TOP 10 REASONS TO PURCHASE "JENNY SOLVES FOR LIFE"
----------------------------------
REASON #9: because math is everywhere!
----------------------------------
Like Roger Antonsen says in his TEDTalks attached video,
*
*
"every mathematical equation where you see that equality sign is actually a METAPHOR. It's an ANALOGY BETWEEN TWO THINGS...and you're expressing that in a LANGUAGE."
*
*
How fitting that we've merged these two subjects--math and language arts--into one novel. In essence, math is NOT AS CHALLENGING to understand as we may think.
*
*
JENNY SOLVES FOR LIFE is written in a way that makes math not only RELATABLE, but also (daresay) FUN.
*
*
Follow the protagonist, Jenny, as she struggles with and learns through many math concepts explained under the gentle tutelage of a retired math teacher. Pick up a copy of and get your learning on today!
