Day 7 - MonteConero Ancona (train to Rome) - 25km

This place is magic! We spent the night on the beach looking to the bright stars in the sky and waiting for the dawn from the sea. 🤩
The perfect end for a fantastic trip, where we discovered new amazing italian spots, in contact with pleasant local people and a lot of travel friends on the way: this is the spirit of the trip that we love! 🚴🇮🇹❤️

Day5 and 6 - ArquataDelTronto MonteConero - 157km 🏞️🏖️

From the pick to the bottom, from the mountains to the sea (Mare Adriatico)! Everything changes in few kilometres, and this is why Italy is so special to bike 🇮🇹🚴
We finally reached another goal of our trip, that is to swim under the Monte Conero. Clear water, white beaches and mountains on your back... What else? 🏊

Day3 and 4 - Spoleto ArquataDelTronto - 95km +1900m 🥴

These places are the reason why we came here. We follwed the track of the old railway from Spoleto to Norcia, passing through dark tunnels and stunning canyons. 🚂
Then Castelluccio plateau, the highest pick of our journey. 🏞️❤️

Day2 - Narni Sant'Anatolia 64km 🌳

Finally Appenini hills are coming, where stunning villages are surrounded by a lot of woods and colours. We felt in love with Marmore waterfalls and enjoyed the power of nature 🏞️

Day1 - Roma Narni - 95km 💪

A long stage to begin this journey, we already reached the region of Umbria, along amazing medioeval villages! Stay tuned 🚴

Oliven youngsters Mattia and Marco are on the road again 🚴

This time they will bring the Oliven's bikes in a italian Coast to Coast (from Rome to Ancona, at least, we wil see). Follow us if you want discover with them the green heart of Italy 💚🇮🇹

Dag 16 - UggianoLaChiesa_Roma (630 km) ✔️

630 km in one day! Amazing, isn't it? Yes, but this time with Francesco's campervan! 🤣
Coming back from a journey is always sad. This time we come back aware to have done something special, discovering new places and how our people try to raise up from this crisis💪🏼
After 978 km our bike trip ends here 😢
Has been an amazing adventure, but don't worry!

A family run resort able to blend charm and southern hospitality. The best mix ever when talking about accommodation.👨‍👩‍👦
Mulino a Vento - Puglia hosted us for two nights! The resort's team took care of us with excellence and we felt like a baby in a cradle👶
So thanks to Giuseppe and his big family, can't wait to come back here again! ❤️

Dag 14 - Leuca_UggianoLaChiesa (51 km) ✔️

Last stage, but fortunately not the last day 😎
From the deep south of Puglia we went up towards Otranto.
The coast is quite different compared to the coast of the Ionian Sea: here the beaches are more rocky, so roads are panoramic and with a lot of up & down 🔃
We were amazed by stunning views and caves under the water.
Tomorrow we planned a rest day on the beach at porto Badisco 🏖️🚙

In the extreme south, with an extreme elegance! Hotel L'Approdo thanks for your kind hospitality! What a style 😍

Dag 13 - Gallipoli_Leuca (58 km) ✔️

Southern than this we couldn't go! ⬇️⛔
We are at the end of the heel of Italy, where the Ionian and Adriatic Sea join together 🌊
Leaving Gallipoli we just followed the coast all day long. As soon as we could we jumped off the bikes to take a swim in this amazing beaches, with enchanting colours 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️
Tomorrow it will be the last stage of our journey towards Otranto, we are already a little bit nostalgic 😥

We reached the most popular destination for the young Italian fellas, amazing beaches and cool places to have fun. 🥂
Today again we woke up so relaxed with another stunning breakfast in the terrace! ☕

Dag 12 - Otranto_Gallipoli (60 km) ✔️

Coast to coast, from the Adriatic Sea to the Ionian Sea 🌊
During the tours with our clients we use to stay along the coast. This time we took the chance to discover the inner land and towns of Salento, where the tradition of Taranta, the folk dance of Southern Italy, is still alive💃
Tomorrow finally we will reach the end of the heel of Italy, it will be a big emotion 😊

Last night we were hosted by Hotel Albania Otranto! 🌃
After a delicious fish based dinner in Otranto we took some good rest in this fantastic hotel in the town centre. Enza, the owner of the hotel, gave us a warm welcome and prepared for us an amazing breakfast to face the cycling day. 🥐🚴‍♂️
We enjoyed it with this fabulous view of the sea, from the most estearn town in Italy. ➡️

Dag 11 - Avetrana_Avetrana (57 km) ✔️

Carribean sea? Maldive? No, Punta Prosciutto! 🥩
A touristic round trip from the Masseria seeking for the best beaches in the area. 🏖️
Pizzardi bros seem to be in a good shape but the warm weather. 💪🏼
For logistic reasons now we are moving to Otranto with Francesco's caravan and tomorrow we will cycle from there to Gallipoli. 🚙
Can't wait to discover the inner lands of Salento 🤩

Today we woke up surrounded by 100.000 (unbelievable!) olive trees in this amazing location😍🌿
Pierangela and her team has just reopened yesterday, and they are fully loaded to start with the season 💪🏼🏖️
Now, after a hyper caloric and delicious breakfast, we are ready to start another bike day. 🥐🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Dag 10 - Ostuni_Avetrana (68 km) ✔️

We started with a caffé leccese like italian redbull (espresso shot, almond milk, lemon zest and ice) that gave us a boost till Oria. 💣
Than Manduria were they produced one of the four DOCG of Puglia. Finally we reached 'Masseria Terre di Terre' were we met the history of Oliven Italia, Francesco and Ines. 👫 From now the four will travel together seeking for new adventures 😎

Today we will be back on our bikes, ready to meet the Pizzardi bros in Avetrana! 👫
We recharged our energies during these 2 days hosted by Pacuvio Loft 68 - Ostuni, where we found a warm welcome, comfortable beds and a 5 star location to stay in Ostuni. 😍

Dag 10 - Ostuni_Ostuni, 0 km 😂 (rest day)

Yes, has been a fantastic and deserved rest day. 😴
As we already told you now we are in Ostuni, and here our fantastic hotel supplier Hotel Ostuni Palace offered us a delightful dinner in this magical place. 😋
We are having a real culinary experience based on local food and wine guided by the knowledgeable waiter Stefano! 🍛🍷

Dag 9 - Polignano_Ostuni (63 km) ✔️

From Sperlonga (Tour Lazio) to Ostuni (Tour Puglia Salento) we cycled 500 km of unknown lands. 🏞️
We already suspected that learning and discovery was going to be the core of this journey. 🧐
But we didn't expected something like this! Italy again shows to us its hospitality and beauty, expecially in places that are not touristic at all. 🇮🇹❤️
