Durham Saddle Club Inc

Good Afternoon,

It has been brought to my attention that “founder members” are going to be offering you a 2023 Durham Saddle Club show season. I wish I could be excited. But with no AGM… How did this happen?

Durham Saddle Club name was purchased February 25 2020 and registered business as a SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP. All the while telling me this was wrong? So it’s only wrong depending on who does it? Got it! I received threats, personal attacks and was verbally and physically assaulted for suggesting the club incorporate. But I’m the bad guy?

I ran for President and was supported in 2020 because I believed I could make a difference and boost attendance and bring new fresh ideas to the table. So you’re telling me the people who didn’t want to spend $50 to save the club are the same people who registered it for a FOR PROFIT BUSINESS 10 days later?

Now, before you all get your axes out to attack me: THIS IS WHAT YOU VOTED AGAINST AND WHY THE CLUB WAS DISBANDED.

My only concern was protecting the legacy of Durham Saddle Club. Changing to to Durham Saddle Club Inc was to protect the old board members. I never wanted to own it, make money off of it, or even be in the position that I was put in. I only wanted to insure that moving forward it was a proper Non- Profit OR I wanted to incorporate so proper tax and safety guidelines were being followed. I published the minutes a long time ago. I want nothing more than to resurrect this great club and support the individuals who have worked hard for more than a decade to make it thrive. I am not your enemy.
