Hi everyone who is still here 👋 I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and new years and start to your year 🎉 just an update on my page , in the next couple of months I will be doing a rebrand all going well 🤞 though I will also be working elsewhere and trying to focus my energy towards my arts as well. This year just gone brought a huge amount of upheaval with moving/ packing houses 3 times and a great deal of uncertainty moving forward with my little business . But I will give it one last shot around March / April and rebrand . This will mean changes to what I create , a set amount of items available and an increase in prices for some products .

Hi all 💙 I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season so far no matter what you celebrate 🥂 🎉 I will be largely offline until the new year and then may be closing down the page for a while . I appreciate all of you for continuing to follow me , even though the algorithms have really screwed with my audience the last few months. Eczema Balm is made with cooler Herbs for those whose eczema reacts poorly to Kawakawa , with calming Chamomile and soothing Calendula 🌻

Kawakawa and H**p Balm is a general Healing balm in my range for almost all minor skin injuries but please seek your GPs advice if you have Fungal skin conditions .

Each pack has a 30g of each Balm and a little trinket or extra surprise . The trinket may be a crystal tumble, or dried herbs to use in Tea.

My beautiful Kawakawa , it's interesting to note that this particular plant has very few holes , I've noticed Kawakawa growing freely in many peoples yards here in whakatane , and very few have holes from little caterpillars other than those growing in the little pockets of Ngahere / forest here . But I am blessed to be able to harvest from many places including my own yard 🌿❤️

A very controversial plant for the good old FDA ( 🤫)

Be sure to identify correctly as it is often mistaken for foxglove which is toxic

For the record I do not recommend using internally myself , only because I have not done enough of my own research on this particular use for it .
However, used externally yes . I commonly add an infused oil made from the leaves and stems to salves and balms for an added anti inflammatory boost to sore muscles , aching joints , painful bruising . I harvest the roots so I can create a tincture with alcohol that I also use externally, this is great for instant relief from bee stings in my own experience , and for an extra strength application to sore joints . Poultices can be made with fresh herb (add a little coconut oil) crushed together and applied to areas before wrapping over the top with muslin or cheesecloth and tied around the injury .
I was actually surprised to be recommended this use when I was in hospital with a broken arm last year . I already knew to use it but to hear a nurse tell me was a whole other surprise

Like all medicinal herbs it is important to do your own research , find out what interactions herbs may have with any western medication you may be taking . I cannot recommend using internally . Do not apply to broken skin or infected cuts as due to it's wonderful healing properties it may cause healthy cellular growth to occur over the top of infectious tissue , trapping infection underneath.

Wonderful fertiliser too. As suggested in the video , comfrey added to water and left to ferment for a while before diluting with a little fresh water before application

I was recently blessed with some more of this amazing herb after moving to whakatane 🌿 I had grown it before but unfortunately had to leave my beautiful plants behind. I hope the new tenant there appreciates them as much as I did❤️
There are many historical uses for mugwort , and it is used widely in Japanese , Korean cuisine .
I resonate more with the spiritual magical uses for mugwort such as

Lucid dreaming ( sleep pillows, smoking, smudging )

Best of all this herb is not endangered in the world , and is not sacred to any one culture . I very rarely use white sage and if I do I would grow my own rather than support the destruction of such a precious resource - white sage .

Added to to***co or ma*****na the dried leaves help to bring you into your self , your own space your own energy centre . At times euphoric at other times healing and relaxing . I much prefer the scent of mugwort and bay leaves to sage. Historically used for protection against dark energies and negativity , mugwort is a wonderful earthy herb to help clear spaces and people from stagnant energy .

My favourite part of spring is seeing all the new growth of plants and seedlings 🌻🌿 currently growing beautiful butter beans , beefsteak tomato, corn , comfrey , cucumber , sage , lobelia , nettles manuka , mugwort and calendula 😊 starting over in a new house where I have permission to plant anything useful is exciting but it will still take a while to get back to where I was a year ago , how are your gardens doing ? What is your favourite plant to grow ?

Gift boxes are to be prepaid (half before half once made before sending ) this is to cover costs to prepare and so I am not let down by non payers as last year was difficult.

A few big changes of late as though I moved in March I was offered a place in sunny whakatane 🙂 so moved again ! 2 moves within 4 months has certainly been challenging to say the least . I am still here though just trying to get settled all over again 😅 blessed to have kawakawa growing freely in my new back yard 🌿 and slowly trying to get new stock organised . I will have new lotus offerings , and I will be working on a specific group of items that will become my only products available . Streamlining you could say.

Trial tinctures available if anyone is interested 💙 still to label up my Blue lotus tinctures but my wee label maker crapped itself unfortunately 😅 I have 5 x 10ml chamomile tinctures that are perfect for a trial run. Larger 30 ml sizes available for preorder but as of now just these ones .

chamomile can help soothe the pain and stiffness from osteoarthritis. Much like turmeric, chamomile can help with inflammation. The liquid extract contains antioxidant flavanoids, like apigenin that help fight inflammation and improve sleep.
To help with insomnia , deeper sleep and relaxation .

These tinctures are made with an alcohol base so are not suitable for those sensitive to alcohol , pregnant women and If you are allergic to asters, daisies, chrysanthemums, or ragweed, you may also be allergic to chamomile.

Beautiful botanical body washes , I have these two available for now if anyone is interested in them 🙂 more will be coming along aswell hopefully in the next week 🤞 others I have are already taken.
