I’ve been very slow in posting, this was my very first official wedding cake back in January. I was very nervous making this, such a huge responsibility making a wedding cake. Alhumdulilah the bride and guests loved it 👏🏼. My heart was full. The bride wanted 3 different cakes. Chocolate mud cake, white chocolate mud cake and the final tier vanilla cake with raspberry jam and buttercream centre. Her only request was, she wanted it to taste and take her back to her childhood.

I wasn’t completely happy with the end result but decided to post it, still an amateur with a lot practice still needed. The design wasn’t hard, but when a lack of sleep and very short notice is involved nothing goes to plan. inspired by This post is my lesson, baking and decorating takes time, allow time for mishaps and mistakes.

If I had to choose a favourite, this would be it. It’s that small dash of colour and abstract look that does it for me.
It really is an honour, when someone trusts you with baking a cake and being part of such special and memorable moments.
