Dear Community, as part of the Black History Month 2024 in Stuttgart the African Open Mic will take place in February 24th at Theater Rampe. 🎭🙌🏾

The AFRICAN OPEN MIC STUTTGART invites black, African and Afro-diasporic people to perform, exchange ideas, listen and heal together in a cozy atmosphere. In a world that marginalizes people, creative expression becomes an outlet and a
mouthpiece. 🗣️

With this event, we explicitly want to create an appreciative, respectful space that is non-discriminatory and critical of power. The stage is open to artists from the fields of spoken word, dance and music. Whether singing, reading, writing poetry, dancing, performing or simply being there - everything is allowed! 🎤🎶🎸🎷🪕🪇

Please note: This event and especially the open mic stage are reserved specifically for Africans, Black people, people of African descent and the African diaspora. Your loved ones and friends of color are welcome in the audience. 🫶🏾

Veranstaltende der African Open Mic Night in Stuttgart dachten wir, dass wir
die Veranstaltung auch canceln müssten. Aber wir kannten das Problem schon: Nur weil wir uns nicht versammeln sollen, heißt das nicht, dass wir keinen anderen Weg finden uns zu versammeln. Also haben wir uns entschieden, mit der Open Mic Night online zu gehen!
Seid dabei bei der allerersten Special African Open Mic Night ONLINE Edition!
Diese Veranstaltung wird organisiert von uns für uns, um Schwarzen Menschen, Menschen der afrikanischen Diaspora und Menschen of Color einen Ort zu geben um Geschichten zu teilen, zu singen, zu performen und zu heilen. Und
weil wir diesmal online sind, könnt ihr gerne von überall auf der Welt
teilnehmen.

are being cancelled left and right. This Saturday we were supposed to hold another African Open Mic Night in Stuttgart and you might have guessed that it would affect us too. And so did we at first. But guess again: just because we are not supposed to gather doesn't mean we can't find some other way to gather. We will simply meet online this time!
Please join us for this special first-time-ever African Open Mic Night ONLINE Edition.
As always, the Open Mic Night is organized and held for us
by us (Black People and People of African Descent) to share, listen, sing,
perform and heal together. All BIPoC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) welcome! And this time especially, because it will be online, feel free to join
from wherever you are.
