There was news over the weekend of another high level college athlete taking their life. A friend shared a story of their 93 year old grandfather attempting to take his life because he was so lonely from not seeing any family in over 2 years since the Covid outbreak. You guys, this thing knows no limits. It doesn’t care how old you are. It doesn’t care how much money you make. This may be hard for some to grasp, but, it doesn’t even care how many followers you have. It is real. It is evil. It can be unrelenting if you let it. So please.

For yourself: Please give yourself some grace if you have a bad day. Give yourself a break if you feel stressed. Talk to someone of you need a friend. DM me, text me, call me, email me, whatever if you feel like you don’t have one.

For others: Love everyone. Check on them. Don’t judge. Be the friend you wish you’d needed when you were going through the storm.

Love yourself. Love others. Be TUPH.

This. This right here. This is baseball. This is life. One of the reason I love sports so much are all of the life lessons and metaphors for life you can gain from them. This dude was the toast of the town Wednesday night. Woke up Thursday with a clean slate and had to take his hacks again. No matter where you are. You gotta get up tomorrow and step up to the plate. You gotta get up tomorrow and live. If things are going really well in your life, don’t get complacent. Get up tomorrow and keep moving forward. If things suck right now, don’t succumb to the pressure and pain. Get up tomorrow and move forward.

If anything encapsulates the TUPH mindset, it’s this right here. Sometimes life sucks. Sometimes it doesn’t. Plain and simple. Anyone who has experienced struggle and pain can tell you how much more you appreciate the good when you’ve powered through the bad. You got this. I got this. We got this.
