It was a true blessing talking to Mr. Reuben Jones, Jr. today🙏🏼❤️

While eating his pork rinds and free sample of ranch dip🤪, he was telling me and my daughter about his experience living in segregation here in Atlanta when he was a little boy. He told us of a time his grandmother would take him to the Fox Theatre to see a show and the sign would read "Whites Only : Ni**ers this way⤴️" and how they would have to walk 🚶🏿around back and climb the fire escape🪜 to see the show that they paid the same amount of money for as others. And how his grandmother, being the same age as he was today (71), trying to keep him from falling back cuz he was clumsy but she was struggling herself👵🏿

Then he told us of how he was the 2nd black Marta bus driver 🚌 in Atlanta for 30yrs. What a blessing to listen to him!

I asked to take a picture📸 with him and he was honored. He said we made him feel so good, that we respected him and listened to him and made sure he was alright. Cuz earlier I had asked if he was lactose intolerant cuz if he was, then to not eat the dip lol. He said "I sho appreciate you asking me that and seeing if Im alright but I am 71yrs old. I done drank creek water💦. Wasnt no such thang as lactose intolerant back then. Im 71. What that tell you? Im still alive". We talked about how good God is and sang Kool and the Gang ' Celebration' 😂😂😂. Boy we had a time tuh-day!!

Im blessed to be able to touch ppl and even more blessed that they touch me🙌🏼😩
