Eprouvette or Gunpowder Tester. These were used to test gunpowders power or strength. You add a sample of powder to the small chamber on top and fire it like a gun to get a reading in the dial. This example dates from about 1800 and is probably French. ****ms ****ms

Earlier this year I bought some printing blocks that were originally used by the King Powder Company in Ohio. I found a local lady that still operated an antique printing press and she created these prints with the original blocks. Cool that a few people have held on to some old world skills. These were used for both product label making and catalog printing. Thanks for looking. ***t
Beat Back the Hun!!! This is a WWI Poster designed to vilify Germany and raise funds to fight the War by the issuing of Liberty Bonds. The term “Hun” was an intentional derogatory term referencing an earlier European people know for savage and barbaric fighting methods. Thanks for looking.
