Just want to give a shout out to Brent and Marshall (Rex), for being the best patients this week❤️. Eye drops aren’t fun to get, but they’ve just been the best! It’s also helped Marshall get use to being held more, as it usually stresses him out so we don’t do it unless it’s needed for situations like this, where we have to give medication or do health checks. Sadly it’s very evident the boy has some past trauma when it comes to humans. But we are helping him overcome it, one positive experience at a time. 🤗

Our final school field trip of the year is done! Thank you Penny and kids from Into the Woods - Nature Immersion & education for coming out yesterday ❤️
The kids learnt all about:
🦆 Our sanctuary residents and fed them yummy fall treats like apples, pumpkins and carrots.
🦉 The wildlife we share our space with.
🦊🌸 Foxglove, a poisonous plant on the property, and helped us pull out a bunch so they don’t spread to our residents’ enclosures.
🪴 Natural clay, and got to dig some out to take home.
…and more!
We look forward to offering these field trips again come spring for preschools, homeschools, and public schools. Please reach out to us if you would like to get more information.

These are not two different duckies, they are both Doughy! The first picture was taken yesterday, and the other this summer.
He’s a Welsh Harlequin and it’s common for them to go lighter during their spring molting, and become darker again come winter.

Beautiful Joe is fitting in so nicely with all the guys. Him and Raju have become fast pals ❤️❤️ Here he is enjoying some sunflower seeds in the rooboys space. We now have 8 guys living together here at the sanctuary, and won’t be able to offer more a home till we build a bigger space. Even though as a rescue we still get lots of requests.

We had some amazing homeschooling families visit us this past month for field trips. Learning about the sanctuary residents and their home, the wildlife we share our home with, what animal-centered design is, digging up natural clay and more! We are almost done for the season, but already looking forward to offering the same experience to everyone come spring 2025! 🌸🐽

😴🐽 Nothing better than fresh straw! Especially when there’s lots of extra to bury into, as nights are getting chillier.
Piggies love disappearing into big straw nest-type beds in cooler weather. Covering their whole body in a warm comfy cocoon. 🌾🐽 Beatrice is being the best model, demonstrating in pic 1 & 2.

When someone is feeling spicy, sometimes all they need is to be picked up and given a hug. That is John almost every morning. 🤣🤗❤️

Hope all the human kidlets are having a great first month back at school.
About Us
We are a volunteer run registered Charity in British Columbia, Canada. PEACE’s mission is uniting and working with farm animal sanctuaries through Resources, Rescues and Education.
We are collecting free and discounted resources for Canadian Farm Animal Sanctuaries, from discounted lawyer fees to help sanctuaries get their charity status to free photographers and grant options for projects! These are all hosted for free on our website.
Also on our website: come find your local sanctuaries by province/region, links to their social media accounts, animal sponsorship pages, resources for teachers and parents and so much more!
We started to help sanctuaries and animals as we saw a need for an organization dedicated to helping with rescue and transport of farm animals. We have acquired a truck to move smaller animals directly in an enclosed canopy and also support towing trailers to transport larger animals. We also have a dedicated PEACE trailers to be used by us for larger animal rescue transport as well as for sanctuaries to use.
