Jesus asks us to come to Him with what is weighing us down whether it be fear, anxiety, anger, or hopelessness. He refreshes our spirit with His presence. Quiet your heart, give your burdens to God, and rest in His presence today.

While on earth, Jesus had a front-row seat to disunity. Between the Jews, Gentiles, Romans, and Pharisees, Jesus operated in communities of intense disagreement.
Still, though, Jesus’ mission wasn’t one of division but reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19). He called the peacemakers blessed (Matthew 5:9) and even modeled His message by uniting historic adversaries like Zealots and tax collectors within His own group of disciples.
As followers of Christ, we’re called to this same mission. In a world of great disunity, we must “make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy” (Hebrews 12:14). This not only pleases God (Proverbs 16:7), but it signals to others that we are believers in Jesus (John 13:35).
Therefore, let’s look for ways we can be peacemakers like Jesus.
