Somehow, a decade has passed since Crickett left this earth, only four months after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. To me, she was a cousin and a close friend. To many, she was a leader and a role model. To all who met her, both in life and in dying, she was an inspiration on many levels. I so miss our work with Crickett's Answer for Cancer in her memory, and so appreciate the gifts of friendship and connection that I still have because of it. Rest in peace, Crickett! ♥ Carole

On this day nine years ago, Crickett died at the age of 39, only 4 months after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. In this photo, she was enjoying herself on a trip with her mom to a winery in Napa Valley. We miss Crickett every day! ♥

An important message from our President:

Hello Friends,

It is after much thought, many prayers, and with heavy heart that I send this message. Due to age and health issues, the decision has been made to close Crickett’s Answer for Cancer at the end of 2014! At this time, we are no longer accepting new clients.

We have assisted many, many breast cancer patients through participating in Relay for Life initially after Crickett’s death in 2006 and then via the non-profit since late 2007. This avenue of my life has been intensely rewarding and has eased my grieving process, knowing we have assisted women traveling the “dreaded breast cancer road” in Crickett’s memory.

Heartfelt thanks to those of you who have donated to the non-profit, have assisted, volunteered, or worked with us in this endeavor; we will forever appreciate the support you have provided to make Crickett’s Answer for Cancer successful and I know Crickett is smiling down on each of you as well.

To our clients, you will remain in our thoughts and prayers as you continue to travel the road to Survivorship from this horrible disease.

CRICKETT'S ANSWER FOR CANCER RECEIVES GRANT....

Wells Fargo’s Community Partners Giving Program is an annual program where each of its retail banking stores explores the needs of their local communities and selects a nonprofit organization or school to receive a $1,000 grant. This year, Wells Fargo will award close to $300,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations and schools throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The grants are part of the company’s broader support of its communities. In 2012, Wells Fargo invested more than $15 million in nonprofit organizations and schools and team members volunteered more than 38,000 hours across Pennsylvania and Delaware.

“At Wells Fargo, we are committed to supporting programs and organizations that we believe are important to the future of our communities’ vitality and success” said Paulette Butler, Tyler Run Store Manager. “So we are proud to support Crickett’s Answer for Cancer with this grant.”

Sad news: Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Off Center Grill at the Hotel Yorktowne is not able to host our Crickettini Party on April 19th. Although we have to postpone our event, we look forward to celebrating it in late summer or early fall. Stay tuned for further details.
