Howell Hurricanes

Howell Hurricanes will be having a tryout on Thursday, 09/07/23 @ 5PM at North Howell Little League in Monmouth County. This is for the 15U Fall Season/16U Summer Season. the boys went 4-0 this weekend and held our opponents to only 7 runs all weekend. Solid pitching by Aidan Dumalagan, Lincoln Maikos, Waylon Cavanagh, Nick Carmino and Matt Clark.

The tournament ended with excitement. After a leadoff walk by Caine Massey, Tommy szukalski laid down a perfect sac bunt, followed by a walk off single by Aidan Dumalagan.

Congratulations boys on the W.....one more tournament in two weeks then a wrap on the 2022 season.

Boys came up short tonight in finals of USABL World Series. They have played a lot of baseball in the past two weeks, reaching the finals this week and the semi-finals down in Mrtyle Beach last week. Our coaches and parents are proud of how hard they have fought and look forward to seeing them continue to grow! Never give up and always hold your heads high!

Amazing week of baseball with these boys. They played 8 games in 5 days, finished pool play as the # 5 seed out of 22 teams from around the country, won two elimination games yesterday and finished with a 6-2 record. The only two losses were to the tournament winner from Michigan and the tournament runner up from Indiana. They played great baseball in extreme heat and hopefully come away with awesome memories.

Congratulations to these five young men who graduated Middle School yesterday. While they will be moving on to four different High Schools next Spring, they will always be Hurricanes.

The boys played back to back extra inning games to win their 5th division championship and cap a 12-0 spring season. The championship game was highlighted by a walk off game winning single by Nick Carmino and an 8 inning complete game by Matt Clark. Awesome job guys!

Broke out the white on white uniforms for 1st round playoff win today!

The boys played in a very exciting tournament this weekend at PDC Baseball in Newtown, PA. They Finished by losing in a slugfest in the Championship Game 11-10 to a very talented Mid Atlantic Hurricanes squad.

The weekend highlights included a game one 16-6 win in which we gave up 6 runs in the top of the 1st inning. We also won an extra inning game in order to move on to the semi-finals. The quarterfinals and semifinals were highlighted by two awesome pitching performances by Nate Margulies and Waylon Cavanagh. There were too many big hits up and down the lineup to mention here.

The boys also had to play 3 of the 5 games with nine players. I'm sure I speak for the parents and coaches in saying how proud I was of them this weekend!

Finished out the regular season today with two shutouts and the 1st ever Hurricane HR, and the 1st on the 60/90 field for Will Theobald. Congratulations!

The boys had their first tournament of the Spring. Unfortunately the bats were a little quiet this weekend and they came up short in the semi-finals. Two games coming up this week and a big Memorial Day Tournament upcoming in PA. Keep grinding boys!
