They did it again! Gabriel Reyes and Erin Vela received a 1 (superior) on their duet and Gabriel received a 2 (excellent) on his solo! Way to go guys!!!!!

Moody History has been made!!!! First year in history taking 2 groups AND Moody’s first Sweepstakes in program HISTORY!!!!!

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our feeder school Cunningham at South Park for making history! They brought home sweepstakes!!! First sweepstakes for orchestra in the schools history!

They did it again! Moody Orchestra came home with all 1s at solo and ensemble! Gabe and Erin will be advancing to state for their solos and duet!

State Mariachi ranks are in! Erin Vela Ranked 44th in the state, a 10 rank jump from last year! Gabriel Reyes ranked 70th in the state, a 14 rank jump from last year! These two represented Moody and CCISD amazingly!

Moody Orcheatra is going strong! Gabriel Reyes auditioned on violin for the region 14 orchestra which is students from corpus, Laredo, and Victoria. He was one of 63 violins and ranked 20th! He will be participating in the Region 14 Clinic/Concert in Laredo in November!!! Congratulations Gabe!

They performed amazingly this evening!

Afternoon all!

Do not forget that the Moody Orchestra will have their first concert of the year Thursday the 19th at 5:30pm in the Moody Cafeteria! This is the first year we have TWO full groups! Come out!

First full rehearsal with both groups combined (missing my basses and 3 others). First time in years having two full groups of amazing orchestra students! Concert is set for Thursday October 19th at 5:30 pm in the Moody Cafeteria!

They did it ye again!!!!!! This year we had 3 students audition for Region Mariachi! Ithzy Leon on alto ranked 2nd almost earning her a spot, a first for Moody Chior! Gabriel Reyes ranked 8th and Erin Vela ranked 3rd, earning them a spot in the ensemble and eligible for state recording!! This is Erin’s senior year and has made it every year ranking higher each time! I am beyond proud of these students!! Moody Strong!

Moody orchestra history has been made! Today Gabriel Reyes and Erin Vela received a 1 (superior rating) on their duet at the state level!!! So proud of these young musicians!!!

Congratulations to Gabriel on being inducted to the Tri-M music society and Erin for her 3rd year as a member!

Good evening all!

We are almost done with the school year! We still have one last event! Our Trojan orchestra spring concert will be held on Wednesday May 10th in the C@SP cafeteria at 6pm. I ask students arrive no later than 5:45pm to ensure attendance and tuning before we start the show! Also! Our instrument vendor Music and Arts will be on site to provide you with information on instrument rental/purchase. They are a great music company with very affordable rates and deals! At this level it would benefit your student to obtain and more better quality instrument for their orchestra years, and even in college if they continue to play! Again Music and Arts at our concert with all the information/questions you may have! See y’all there!!!

Making Moody Orchestra History! Erin Vela participated in the Texas State Solo and Ensemble completion and received a rating of 2 (excellent) which at the state level is an amazing accomplishment! Way to represent Moody Erin!!!!
