I have always enjoyed writing, but with one notable exception. As a schoolboy, misbehaviour would result in being given lines. These, in multiples of twenty, had to be submitted within a week of the offence. It was probably the cruellest non-corporal punishment available.
Imagine having to write the following sentence one hundred times, using a fountain pen, ensuring every word was legible and the punctuation correct. If not, they were to be redone.

"Few things are more distressing, to a well-regulated mind, than to see a boy, who ought to know better, disporting himself at improper moments."

Whether the alternative, delivered by six strokes of the headmaster’s cane, was the lesser of two evils is debatable.

The new DI Mike Nash #17 is out today. Already climbing the charts in Australia as they are 10 hours ahead of us and could have almost read the book before the rest of the world. The excellent reviews are coming in and question if the unresolved loose ends will be tied up in the next book. Well, I'm not going to say. Readers will have to wait and find out.

I am getting asked by readers if there is to be more books in the Cowgill Family Saga. Unfortunately not. To continue the story it would no longer be a Saga, but contemporary fiction.

Only 12 days to pre-order before publication.

After a short delay of launch day -- the Gremlins are gone!! Technical hitch resolved and fully operational.

Unfortunately, due to a technical problem, a gremlin, call it what you will, Death Sentence, the next DI Mike Nash thriller, will not be available until 30th January, not 18th as previously stated. An uncorrected proof copy is available to reviewers through normal channels. So I thought a taster might help.
