Non-profit helps Waco homebuyers navigate market and rising interest rates The Federal Reserve announced yet another rise in inflation rates Wednesday, and Thursday the gross domestic product fell at an annual rate of 0.9 percent from April through June.

The winner of the Henrietta Napier Changemaker Award in Housing is Delisa Burnell-Smith.

Delisa Burnell-Smith is the Vice President and COO for NeighborWorks. She has been a leader at NeighborWorks Waco for the past 29 years and is the longest-serving member of the NeighborWorks Waco team. Delisa has been active in providing housing for 3,157 families in the Greater Waco area. She is a sought-after leader in our community for her talent as an innovative business manager, licensed mortgage officer, and financial counselor. Her service to our community through her work at NeighborWorks is exemplary and she continues to be a leader for the organization and for Waco.
