We have baby chicks! 🐥 Fair Farm owner, Walt, shares the experience at the farm: “We receive chicks at one day old and they are immediately eating organic feed. The chicks start going outside at 3-4 weeks and continue on pasture everyday. Raising our chicks from day one is more work, but allows a natural on farm transition from chick to pullet to laying hen. "
We take great pride in our baby chicks and high standards of animal welfare. This is a fun time of year at the farm. We know the staff loves the extra time they get to spend with the baby chicks! 🚜

Our hens live in mobile houses! 🏠 These mobile hen houses enable us to move the houses every few weeks to keep the hens on fresh pasture. We open the doors in the early morning and the hens are out all day, everyday following their natural behaviors. At dark the hens instinctively return to their house, jump up on roost bars to sleep and we close and latch doors to keep the hens safe from predators.

Fair Farm's hens roam free on 63 acres of Longmont, Colorado land. We are raising the bar on what it means to be pasture raised and free range eggs!
Our hens’ organic eggs are handpicked every day. We value quality care and intentionality in every aspect of our farm.
Hens and chicks make the best coworkers.
The Fair Farm gals are out in the Boulder County pasture getting plenty of exercise, fresh air, and organic feed. They'll lay the best eggs you've ever tasted.
