A bruise should not be the requirement for evidence of parental abuse. Most U.S. states recognize some aspects of sexual abuse, physical abuse, or neglect but fail to fully address them while completely disregarding mental, verbal, emotional, financial, and spiritual.
Yelling at children can have a variety of detrimental psychological effects, such as the development of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and behavioral issues. Children who are yelled at may also display aggression and bullying behavior.
Have you ever felt that all your happy childhood memories were lost? That you can only remember painful moments?
We can break this cycle. I've been there, and I identify with your pain. That's why I wrote the book Life After Emotionally Immature Parents. It will help you a lot, I assure you.

Father's Day can be sad for many who need to deal with emotionally immature fathers.
Here are some tips for handling this holiday:
1. Talk it out - Find a friend, therapist, or family member you trust and talk to them about the feelings Father's Day is bringing up for you
2. Stay away from social media - If seeing other people's posts upsets you, take the day off.
3. Know you're not the only one - The fact that people pretend things are fine when they aren't can lead to more people feeling alone.
It's time to end the emotional abuse and manipulation you hardened as a child.
