Spark and Spell will go on a brief vacation from 12am EST Monday, 11/22 - Midnight EST Wednesday, 11/24 in order to prep for our Black Friday Weekend Sale.

All orders placed through Sunday night will ship during this time. While on vacation, we’ll be restocking inventory, including a bunch of our bestsellers, as well as adding dozens of new designs!

The shop will reopen at 12am EST on Thursday, 11/25, with our Black Friday Sale running through Midnight EST Tuesday, 11/30.

The holidays are already expensive, & Disney doesn’t make that easier…but you can still find cheap (even free) activities, if you know where to look 😉

One of our favorite free things to do on property is the gingerbread house crawl! Disney has several INSANELY detailed gingerbread houses (+ a gingerbread carousel😮) located in deluxe resorts, shops, & even the parks (if you’re at Epcot, don’t miss the one inside the American pavilion!)

The best part? You don’t have to spend any extra money to see them, nor do you have to be staying on property!

How to pull off a free day full of Disney magic:

If you’re an AP, park at the TTC & take the monorail over to the resorts on the Magic Kingdom loop. Alternately, make a dining reservation at one of the resorts that has a gingerbread house so you can park at that resort, OR if you’re okay with a little extra travel to cut the cost out completely, park for free at Disney Springs & take one of the buses back to your resort of choice (we do this whenever we stay off property to resort hop, & it’s super easy!)

We like to start at The Grand Floridian, which houses a two-story masterpiece with a shop inside of it (+ a functioning chimney that blows candy smoke!)

Next, take the monorail to MK, switch to the boats, & head over to Wilderness Lodge to check out Humphrey Bear’s rustic gingerbread cottage (+ the enormous Christmas tree decorated with tipis— it’s GORGEOUS)!

Take the boat back to MK, jump on the monorail or another boat, & head over to The Contemporary to see the huge Mary Blair-inspired Cinderella’s Castle gingerbread display. Take your time finding all the Hidden Mickeys (each display has their own set!), then take the bus back to Disney Springs & stop by Amorette’s Patisserie to see their gingerbread replica of the bakery!

There’s an alternate set of gingerbread displays to see at the Epcot-area resorts as well, so make sure you check those out to experience the magic that is a functional carousel made of cookies!🎠

This is also the perfect excuse to try all the amazing holiday foods these resorts have to offer!🤤

Port Orleans French Quarter has officially reopened at WDW, and we are so excited— this is one of our favorite resorts on property! We love taking the boat over from Disney Springs to visit POFQ: the ambiance is a wonderful mix of relaxing and revelry, the theming is top-notch, and a basket of Mickey beignets from S**t Cat’s is the perfect treat on a lazy resort day!

We’re halfway to Christmas!🎄🎁❄️
Things might seem a little quiet over here, but that’s just because I’ve been hard at work on our Halloween and Christmas lines— I have SO MUCH holiday goodness that I can’t wait to share with you all! The plan is to launch all Halloween items in the first two weeks of August so there’s plenty of time to prep for Boo Bash, and then Christmas designs will launch starting Sept 15th (100 days from Christmas)!

Floating on into the weekend🚤

Super excited to share with you all some of the new items I’ll be adding to the shop over the next few days, as well as a *huge* small shop giveaway in honor of a friend hitting a major milestone with their biz— find out more here tomorrow at 12pm WDW/3pm Disneyland time!😉

Happy to two of the greatest loves of my life: the giant geodesic sphere🌐 that always makes me smile, and the salty, cheesy, absolute goofball to the right of me— my nephew! This was just a little over a week ago on his first visit to Epcot, and true to form, he found a way to make what I *thought* was going to be a cute photo even more memorable (please swipe to see the face he made in 20+ photos straight🙄😂)

Expectation v reality: Springs Ed. Spending the day soaking up the sun, hunting for Hidden Mickeys, pin trading, waiting hours for the goods from Gideon’s, and sharing WDW with my nephew! This week he helped us hand out over 60 gifts to cast members all over the parks, Springs, and the resorts, and it’s been so much fun showing him ways to give back and show appreciation for the people working hard to keep Disney magical. This trip has definitely been my weirdest Dis experience to date, but all the amazing CMs we’ve meet along the way have gone above and beyond sprinkling pixie dust and making the boys’ first Disney trip one to remember! I can’t wait to bring them back for their second trip with even more gifts to show our thanks, and in the meantime, I’ve been doing lots of research and testing products that will soon be added to the shop— stay tuned!

Our Etsy shop will briefly close Friday and Saturday 3/5 & 3/6 as Spark&Spell makes its way to Walt Disney World! All orders placed before midnight EST Thursday, 3/4 will go out Friday morning. The shop will reopen on Sunday, 3/7, and all orders placed between then and Sunday, 3/14 will go out in the mail first thing Monday morning on 3/15. Spark&Spell is going home! Later this week we’ll be heading down to WDW for the first time in a long time (15 months!😳) and I can’t wait to be in the parks riding all my favorite rides, snacking on my fav food and drinks, and introducing my nephews to the World for their very first trip!💗
While there, I’m taking on a special Spark&Spell Loves CMs challenge to give back to the real magic makers who have kept Disney World up and running through this pandemic. Happy Toy Story Tuesday!🤠🧑🏼‍🚀
While definitely not my favorite Pixar movie, Toy Story Land is one of my park favorites! I love how much it feels like someone dumped a giant toy box out and you’re walking around through the mess. There are so many fun details that make this area unique, but one of my favorites is the bathrooms made from building blocks and Scrabble tiles (and the Cooties game right next to it😂)!

What’s your favorite land in the parks? This one is easy for me— I’m OBSESSED with Pandora!💙 There’s very few places on property that won’t wow you, but WDI went off on this one👏🏼 Top 3 reasons why I love it:
1️⃣The landscaping! There’s always something new to look at it, and then it’s worthy of a second view at night when the bioluminescence is visible✨
2️⃣Pongu lumpia and a Night Blossom = best rope drop breakfast🤤
3️⃣Flight of Passage is the best ride on property hands down, and I will fight you over it🥊🤷🏻‍♀️

If you could design your own land, what would the theme be? I’m definitely Team Villains on this one!

Let’s talk Disney snacks!🍿🧁🍕🍭🌭🍪🍟🍩 There are a few things in life I’m certified at: First Aid/CPR, Most Swears in 1 Minute, and Disney Parks snacks💁🏻‍♀️I take my responsibilities very seriously, which means the likelihood of being on property for more than 10 min without some sort of treat in my hands is pretty nonexistent. Some of my favorite foods can be found over in the World Showcase, but I also love to explore the resorts to find out what kinds of goodies they have hidden (oh, hey Mickey beignets at POFQ👋🏼). I’m not going to try and name a favorite because that would be impossible, but for someone who is definitely more of a salty over sweet person, I tend to gravitate more towards the sweet stuff in the parks— I don’t even like caramel corn and I still got suckered into a $10 bag of it at Karamel Kuche (*PRO TIP* hold your nose the second you leave China and keep it closed until you make it to Italy; that caramel and butter scent will make you a sinner!)

I’m spending the day thinking of all the magic these two wonderful parks have brought to the world, and tbh, the number one thing that has created the most Disney Magic for me has undoubtedly been the Cast Members.
