I will never forget a short meeting I had with a top boss in the ecommerce industry. I kept on disturbing him to show me "how to blow fast" in this ecommerce space.
His reply was always same, "Fortune you're already doing well, you just need to scale more". He went on further and told me some deep stuff.....
But there's one point he gave me that I'll never forget
If you're going into make "Big money" in a new market focus on these 2 things:
1. First mover advantage: Being among the first set to come into the market (Here there's high tendency of making a whole lot of money)
2. Come into the market with a different angle: Come in with a different selling point (There's also a whole lot of money to be made here)
I won't stress much here, but my point is this
I see a lot of people complain about the saturation level of the ecommerce industry in Nigeria, but the question is.. "Have you tried other countries??"
I have very good friend who left the Nigerian market, ventured into Ghana space and is crushing 7 figs monthly without the constant headaches he was experiencing from naija customers
