YOGA IN THE PARK @lauriesasser 🌱 * Meditation * Retreats * Yoga * AutoImmune Disease * Heal
Burning Man is a week-long large-scale desert event focused on "community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance" held annually in the western United States. The event's name comes from its culminating ceremony: the symbolic burning of a large wooden effigy, referred to as the Man, that occurs on the penultimate night, the Saturday evening before Labor Day. Since 1991, the event has been at Black Rock City in northwestern Nevada, a temporary city erected in the Black Rock Desert about 100 miles (160 km) north-northeast of Reno. According to Burning Man co-founder Larry Harvey in 2004, the event is guided by ten stated principles: radical inclusion, gifting, decommodification, radical self-reliance, radical self-expression, communal effort, civic responsibility, leaving no trace, participation, and immediacy.

**RETREAT** Teacher Spotlight: Rayna Dombro
Rayna lives in Queen Anne, WA in Seattle and teaches HOT yoga, often known as 26 & 2 or Bikram style yoga. These classes range between 95 F and 105 F and are a set sequence of 26 postures done 2 times. The addition of heat to our practice can enhance the way we relate to ourselves and challenge how we manage our inner fire. It adds a layer of intensity that will push our mental and emotional practice to new levels. It helps to cleanse us through detox pathways such as sweat and the lymphatic system.
Rayna loves health and wellness and has an innate ability to hold space for others. She is invested in the intersection of yoga, menopause, hormonal balance, nervous system regulation, and functional medicine. With her background in behavioral health, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her teachings and to our retreats.
One of the reasons we LOVE resort is that there are 6 beautiful, diverse studios to practice yoga. This means we are able to offer 9am HOT YOGA as well as 9am Slow Flow (unheated) every day. We gather on retreat to learn what practices and what conditions lead us to our best selves. It's important to Rayna and I to offer this platform for exploration. Yoga is not one size fits all! Part of this journey is to notice and settle into which doorways you feel resonate with you the deepest.

Full Moon ✨️ in Aquarius.
At my monthly Full Moon Rituals, you will experience a gentle vinyasa slow flow, breathwork and deep restorative work. We will end with full moon meditation and reflection.
Living in Rythem
At our Annual Retreat in Mexico, we dive into the rhythms of nature, the seasons, the 28 day lunar calendar, and experience the ebb and flow of the tides. This sync in nature and the lunar solar cycles has a profound impact on the body. When we honor the body as a microcosm as the macrocosm, we can tune into deep states of peace. This is a beautiful, primal unfolding. An easy and accessible way to experience this directly is the lunar calendar, full of rich opportunities at the new and full moons.
Full Moon Ritual
This class is a grounding yoga practice, meditation, cacao sipping and reflection. There will be an explanation and Q & A on full and new moon energy, and how to harness the energetics of these portals. We will explore how to surf these waves of the cycle instead of feeling overwhelmed or depleted by full moon energy. This is potent, rich work! It can make all the difference in how we experience and move through the world and work with our creative pulse. We will enjoy ceremonial cacao from and learn how cacao helps to embody the qualities you are calling in. We experience cacao ceremony as an art form that responds to what is arising and true in the present moment.
Studio 601
In the fall and winter, these rituals are held at a beautiful art collective called Studio 601 - Waterfront Yoga near Pioneer Square. This is such a thoughtful, dynamic group that celebrates and supports local artists of all trades. We have been a part of this community for some time, and have admired their relentless support of the arts in Seattle.

The Sacred Art Of Living Yoga
The Ayurvedic concept of Samagni or "Balanced Fire" can be said to be the goal of our yoga practice. Our internal fire can be experienced as:
Digestive Fire
Healthy Appetite for Life
Sprituality or Religion
Energy Levels
Creativity
Enthusiasm
Expressiveness
Sexuality
Prosperity
Love
When our fire burns too quickly, this leads to excessive imbalances in our life. When our fire burns too little, we experience dim or muted life. When it is difficult to stabilize the flame and we oscillate between a tiny flicker and a bonfire, we feel the impact throughout our relationships and our ability to build strong foundations. My retreats explore living in rythm and in harmony with the natural cycles we experience in life.

One of our favorite things about our annual Xinalani, Mexico retreat (*link in bio to sign up!) is the ritual Spa. The Spa Palapa rests on the jungle hillside right above the ocean so throughout the experience you can hear the waves ushering in a new level of deep rest and healing. Its incredible! This space offers treatments rich in local heritage using aloe, coffee, cacao, copal incense and rebozo energy healing techniques.

Ok, guys. The last time I was at this restaurant was 30 years ago in 1994 in high school, when I got a G.E.R.O.N.I.M.O shirt (iykyk) that became my signature hashtag style. Go skiiers. So fun to revisit while in Santa Fe and I'm happy to say not much has changed!! Still an incredible dining experience. So many wonderful memories here.
thanks for this reminder. Dopamine is a sneaky one! Tune inward.

LOVE is truly all there is. Celebrating Naia and her husband Richard was a highlight of my spring. Naia and I met in Venice, CA in the Shiva Rea world close to 15 years ago. She shines so brightly and floats effortlessly through this world with so much natural grace. It was an honor to speak on her behalf and to represent 'Merica over in the UK for her wedding. Neither Naia or Richard are on socials but I wanted to post these pictures here as they are too full of positivity and radiance to not share. Celebrating and all the beautiful souls we met at their charming wedding.
