Post partum depression: A dads perspective. What the hell happened to her? Where did she go? This wasn't supposed to be like this. We had plans and now...? Will she even have me tomorrow? How did just a happy girl get so sad? What did I do and what can't I fix it? Not being able to fix it... I will tell you what dads... you think you are tough? You think you have gone through it? You think you have had it tough? Me too. Until you have watched the woman you love plan for her pregnancy, then plan for her baby, then grow that baby, then birth that baby.... the love, joy excitement, elation... a inticipation.... I thought I wasnt going to doing anything with this kiddo. I thought t I'd be watching her be a mommy. I thought I'd go off fishing and get pictures and updates. I had no idea she wouldntt be a keep to hold her own baby. Why would she choose not to home her baby? Why did everything fall on me? I didnt expect this. Just be patient and wait? ? It will pass? Time is passing! She is missing everythjng she was so excited for. She isn't herself and when she gets back ... she is gonna be so sad she went away.

How do I get through this? I feel alone. I'm sure she does too. I really did think she chose to hate our child.... she didnt choose this and she doesn't hate our child. But she is suffering post partum depression and it's so sad. Expressing my own kids and sadness often vcones out as anger.

What the hell am I supposed to do now? ? When she doesn't hate me she wants to a t line everything is normal. How do I do that? What a mind f**k.doesnhe even love me? Does she like me?

I'll tell you what. ... that little girl she gave me sure lights up the darkest sky. Now that love wasnt something I ever even dreamt was a possiblity, Shawna treid to tell me... she should have told me about post partum depression.

Baby Tru is the most gorgeous baby I have ever seen, I know that parents are always saying their kid is the cutest but this child is special. She takes my breath away. She also took my spot at the tap... I dont mind sharing though.
