Who Is Benek?
Born in Latri-kunda German, The Gambia in 1994 and spend most of his childhood in the towns of Sukuta and Bakau. His Mother being a Gambian and father a Ghanaian he also took trips to Ghana and Togo to spend time with his family on his fathers side. Ben E K Hooper, popularly called as Benek is an Afropop and RnB artist. He began singing at the age of 17 in 2011. He sings in two West African languages namely Mandingo and Wolof.
In 2012, he released his first single called “Let it flow” a club banger, then followed by his first collabo which brought him a recognition at school and his neighborhood.
In 2013, he joined a colleague from SOS Herman Gmiener Technical Senior Secondary School to form a music group called The Blackcanes and in 2017 Benek decided to go solo with his music career.
In late 2017, he dropped his first single called “You belong to me” which was a national hit.
