Happy Saturday/First Day of May/First Day of Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Month/Mental Health Awareness Month, Everyone! In lieu of all the stories about unnecessary violence, harassment, prejudice, and hatred towards the AAPI community, let's all write stories of a more heartwarming, positive light. Reach out and check-in with all of your AAPI friends and show them some love, even if it's just a simple, "Hi! How are you doing?"

Elderly people getting attacked in broad daylight (at least, one of whom has passed away from such attacks): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptMZfekZNTo , a 36-year old man getting knifed in the back: https://abcnews.go.com/US/asian-man-stabbed-back-york-citys-chinatown-suspect/story?id=76133248 , another man getting slashed in the face during a subway ride on a daily commute to and from work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKaRbKKYVnA, bleeding out and crying out for help, only to fall upon deaf ears and sheer neglect, and others getting gunned down in the streets. These are just a few of many recent examples that I'm seeing/reading about. I haven't even talked about the numerous Asian business owners getting harassed and their storefronts being vandalized; some during Lunar New Year, of all times (people can't even enjoy the one major Asian holiday that isn't even recognized as a National Holiday/that we don't even get to have off from work, here in the U.S.).

Then, there's this, where apparently, someone took the initiative to write some kind of derogatory message on a pre-school door in human f***s, which in itself, is an entirely whole other level of messed up: https://abc7.com/racism-video-brentwood-anti-asian/10334969/ . As outlandish and cruel that all of these attacks are, they seem to only be blips on a news radar/will inevitably be quickly dismissed and/or ignored. This is not to mention that it's only been recently that all of this anti-Asian sentiment has received any kind of national attention.

Unfortunately, there's a seemingly endless supply of xenophobia, overt, racial bigotry, prejudice, ignorance, and outright, stubborn stupidity in the world. Sadly, anti-Asian sentiment isn't a new concept, but, it is incredibly disheartening that it's needlessly intensifying and directly leading to acts of unnecessary hatred and violence towards the Asian, Asian-American, Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, during our current global health pandemic. Here are a few key takeaways:

1.) Don't be a stupid, racist prick.
2.) Asians are not weak. They already have endured so much and will continue to persevere.
3.) Stop the hate. Kindness should be a default setting.

All that I humbly ask, though, is to show some love to all the Asian, Asian-American, and Pacific Islanders out there, especially, since there has and continues to be, so much unnecessary anti-Asian sentiment out there lately (even more so than usual).

It's certainly been awhile, but, I just wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone. On that very note, I'm about two days late, but, Happy Asian/Lunar New Year, Everyone! Yeah, Year of the Piggy!

I recently just came back home from a company trip in Israel. Suffice it to say, Tel Aviv and Eilat are for a lack of a better word/description, absolutely gorgeous. Pictures definitely cannot completely encapsulate the true beauty of experiencing it. With that said, may you all be blessed with exciting, new, and wondrous experiences and adventures, endless amounts of wealth, good health, high spirits, brilliance, humility, kindness, passion, and love throughout every facet of your life.
