Photoshoot visit - groom curtesy of another wonderful groomer as they turned up looking and smelling amazing. I have never seen four long haired dachshunds in one family so meeting them was an absolute pleasure….catching them all in one photo was another matter 😂!

•Alfie• 15 yrs old and suffering with Cushing’s disease. His groom is very much adapted to suit his needs. He still loves the attention of a groom but where it suits him - and that is not in a standing position 😂. More regular and shorter grooms help when considering these health conditions. Looking dapper

•Rex• and his first puppy groom! He was such a good boy considering it is all new to him. Getting used to being groomed can be very daunting so it’s important to be patient and slowly introduce them to all the smells, noises and different sensations

A calm teeth cleaning session for Olive last night. She had a few snoozes between me repositioning the toothbrush

•Silvie• one summer ready doggy ☀️

•Murphy• handstripped cocker spaniel• What a beautiful coat he has after a handstrip and amazing to groom. We even had a bit of fun after in the garden admiring the chickens…. 🐾🐕

•Maddie• such a sweet lady who came in for a deep clean and de-shed. Lots of support was given due to her age but she settled in really well and lots of breaks and cuddles were given💗 #1:2:1doggrooming

•Bobby• one labradoodle going home with a lot less floof! 🐾🖤

•Kevin• he came in for a bath and de-shed. People are always surprised at how much short hair dogs shed, but they really do shed…a lot! Kevin went out with a shiny coat and it was lovely to have a little play at the end with lots if tail wagging 🐾

•Dolly• the lab came in for a good cleanse and de-shed with her bestie beside her. As an older dog, a mat was used to support her joints whilst being groomed, and care taken to ensure the groom suited her needs 🐾

•Odin• Handstripped terrier • Handstripping is a great way to maintain the dogs natrual guard hair which has adapted over time to protect their bodies to carry out the job they have been bred to do, i.e hunting and retrieving in thick undergrowth. Handstripping preserves this coat funtion, provides UV protection, waterproofing, coat texture and colour, whilst also promoting skin health X

•Buddy• Developing a good relationship with the dog you are grooming really makes a difference to the experience for both the doggy and the groomer. Buddy is a rescue dog who can be very nervous and therefore came with his bestie (labrador sister), to ensure his confidence. Initially I could tell he wasn’t sure, and needed a lot of reassurance. By the end of his first groom with me, he was relaxed, proud of his new look, and showing off his tricks which of course led to more treats and cuddles! Not sure who benefited more as I could have happily kept the pair of them plodding around for longer 💗🐾💙

•Asha• such a beautiful girl all ready for the coronation weekend! A smart and shorter groom makes maintaining these doodle coats alot easier, especially handy for those with an adventurous lifestyle 🐾
