Located on the University of Iowa Campus, the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium is an Olympic sized swimming pool that is used by Recreational Services at the University of Iowa and the University of Iowa Swimming and Diving team🏊‍♂️

Every year, the CRWC welcomes thousands of swimmers of all ages to the space! The Iowa City Area Sports Commission supported 6 events in the last year:
- IASI Long Course Championship
- A3 Midwest Challenge
- IHSAA State Swimming
- Iowa Swimming 2024 Age Group Short Course Championships
- 2024 Spring Speedo Sectionals
- David Armbruster Open

The CRWC is a centerpiece of our Iowa City community!

Introducing the Iowa City Area Sports Commission’s Playmaker of the Month, Michele Conlon! Once a month, we will be highlighting our sports community members to recognize their hard work and dedication.

Head Tennis Professional, Michele Conlon has been at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex for 16 years. Michele grew up in the Iowa City area and was fortunate enough to participate in Don Klotz Tennis clinics, for whom the courts are named after. Michele is most proud of the comprehensive tennis programs that are offered to all levels and ages. The programs at the HTRC provides a foundation to hold events and tournaments. Most recently the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) State Tournaments. In addition, the University of Iowa Women's Tennis Team practices and competes at the HTRC. Michele’s favorite thing about the HTRC is the people. "Our tennis patrons are passionate, lifelong learners, and fun individuals to be around" says Conlon. Michele’s best advice for members of the sports community is to "be curious, ethical and work hard!" Interested in learning more? The Iowa High School Athletic Association 1A State Team Tennis wrapped up today in our community at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex. Congratulations to all the teams, athletes, and coaches who competed for state titles!

This morning, we sponsored the "Cilek Sports and Business Breakfast Series" alongside West Bank Strong at the Iowa Athletic Club. Emcee Nate Kaeding, spoke with Seth Wallace and Tyler Barnes from Hawkeye Football, and Robin Therme, president of CIVCO Medical Solutions. Thank you to all who joined us!

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) 1A Individual State Tennis Meet is happening now at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Center. will be crowned State Champions tomorrow evening!👑

Missouri Valley Conference Announces Future Sites for Its Women's Basketball Championship The Missouri Valley Conference has announced future sites for the MVC Women’s Basketball Championship. The three-year rotation includes Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. (2025); Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa (2026); and Vibrant Arena at The MARK in Moline, Ill. (2027).

SPORTS UPDATE: Excited to welcome Coralville Chaos to Xtream Arena, the newest team in the American Indoor Football League.

This past weekend our community hosted the Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association Annual State Convention at the Hyatt Regency in Coralville.

Today our community hosted the Iowa Special Olympics Spring Classic where athletes could showcase their skills in cheerleading, dance, powerlifting, team basketball, basketball skills and gymnastics. The Spring Classic is held each March in the Coralville/Iowa City area.
