Despite receiving hundreds of public records requests each month, the majority of these documents don't stay public. Unlike other cities that make these records readily available, Chula Vista requires new requests for each inquiry, creating unnecessary hurdles for residents seeking information.

We deserve better. It's time for a change. As your City Attorney, I will advocate for true transparency, ensuring all public records are easily accessible. Our community's right to know is non-negotiable.

I’m running to protect all of Chula Vista and keep my hometown safe and affordable for everyone. With my deep legal experience and community commitment, I will uphold the law and work tirelessly to protect our City’s families, finances, and future.
