Okay guys.

This page swapping plan didn't work.

I'm sorry for messing you around but please go back to my old page and follow me there, I won't use this new page.

The majority of my following (77k) is still on my old page and it's growing by hundreds every day.I will have to continue there as I realised I've got years and years of work in that blog which is appreciated by the people.

So please abandon this one and go back and follow and like this one in the link below πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

How do I get these jobs?

You ask me this question repeatedly.

They're going by the word of mouth.

You usually have to be recommended by a driver who is in the game and knows you.

You have to be self employed.

You have to be very flexible with your time schedule as you have to say yes to a job from one minute to another, otherwise the job is going to be taken in no time.

Which means you don't have the security of a full time job.You are always on the edge of a possible financial disaster if you end up with no work.

You have to be okay to jump into any truck given to you at any time any place, LHD or RHD, UK or EU.

You have to be okay with the fact that the job can be pushy and hard at times, your own personal welfare isn't always prioritised.

You have to be easy going and get on with people from all walks of life as you won't be able to pick and choose.

Some days are harder than the others, not all glamour. You make mistakes, getting lost, taking the wrong turn, get stucked, get shouted at, argued with and laughed at.

You make friends for life, you feel supported by others and you learn that there's no "I" in the word team.

Depends on your personality,if you see the good in everything, you will love it.

If you see the bad in everything then you will hate it.

Simple is that.

On my way back to Glastonbury as a passenger, my chauffeur is Mal who I've worked with numerous times already all over Europe.

Thank you Greenhaul...kept saying it to myself driving down a narrow country lane with these mega expensive vehicles.

Because I have worked for Greenhaul, I'm not afraid of tight spaces anymore, trucking around the farms and places behind God's back gave me enough knowledge and confidence to not to run away 🀣🀣

Job's done, going home for a week, can't wait to rest and spend some time at home.

Hi Vis west chocked on the floor, waiting for everyone finish what they have to finish on the grounds of the Glastonbury Festival then driving bobtail to Towchester, picking the cars up.

Another experience.. very different from any kind of work I have been doing so far.

I'm sweaty, tired and happy..

Where are you guys, can't see you?

Down in the bar Lina..

Great start😝

Backseat passenger in a van..

Boarding an overnight ferry in Portsmouth.

Extremely busy, hundreds of bikes, trucks..and us in vans.

While waiting Danny burned his wallet 🀣🀣

10 days with this lot, no idea what we're doing.

Equation of happiness is :

Happenings minus expectations.

So simple.

If we don't expect too much then we won't be upset too much if things aren't going the way we wanted.

Last day on walking floor job which I often call truckers boot camp.

Going home tonight but only for a bit.

Getting ready for something very different and yes, passport going to be involved.

Because I've never done this kind of job before, I won't expect anything just in case..🀣🀣

Such a special day!

Andy came to visit me on my break.

Andy Mclean is an author of 2 fabulous books about being a truck driver 40 - 50 years ago..

I've got both his books already and reading them one by one, unimaginable adventure to drive a Mac to Tehran in the 70s without satnavs and mobile phones 🀣🀣

If you want to buy his books you can do it though the link below.

Stupidest designed loading bay ever..🀣

You can't step out to clear the overhang stuff, can't close the top sheet, can't clear the debris from the catwalk (between trailer and the unit) and have to drive out while both side of the truck is filled with rubbish up to waist high, risking to have it scratched by god knows what's in the rubbish..

I often wonder if we would live an easier life if things would be designed by people who knows the job?

Another one is why services don't put a visible logo out on the motorway, showing which fuel card they accept?

If I decide to fill up while driving, unable to search apps on my phone to decide which services to pull up to, I have to drive in to check, risking to get stuck behind a driver who is having a break on the pumps.

Of course my fuel card wasn't accepted there.

At least I'm parked now beside a beautiful field with wild flowers and a lovely sunset.

Love and hate, hand in hand.

Perfect example of walking floor work.

Hate it when I'm anxious because I know it's often a difficult customer site.I hate it because I have to get up stupid early.I am anxious because the kit is extremely well kept, above standards, I don't want to damage it.

But at the same time I love it because it's so satisfying to complete a difficult job, it's incredible to drive a state of art truck, being recognised all over the country. Being part of the pack.

I had to keep my finger on the main beam lever as I got so many others flashing at my truck, had to flash back to not to be rude. Sometimes I was wondering if maybe I'm pushing a car in front of me or something is hanging out of my trailer or have I left main beams on..but no, it's only greetings.

Visited RJM Commercials today with a faulty beacon lights, seen some sooo beautiful V8 Scanias.

Stopped around Milton Keynes, heading south in the morning.

Busy day behind, never mind I was working all night long according to my tachograph,as last night I forgot to put it on rest🀣🀣

Delivering for the cows, I can't describe how much I love them!

When I was a teenager, I studied agricultural machinery and worked around cows, they remind me of those days, love how they look and smell, their eyes and gaze.

If I will have a next life I'd like to be a farmer, but my animals would never end up in a slaughter house that's for sure!

All this happened today..and I'm in a hotel room.

Hotel Scania was scheduled for service tonight, got the courtesy car, reserved a mini apartment for the night and voila...

Lina sleeps in a proper bed tonight..

Good night folks!

When you're a truck driver, you are allowed to enter many different places, and see many different things.

Cows and sheep for example.

Not sure how you say this process it but it looks like the sheep had the mobile hairdresser out today.🀣🀣
