Adorable π°π
The baby bunnies are 6 1/2 weeks old! Thought I would give an update with new pictures, their genders, and the names I gave them.
They all 3 are boys again! π This litter was born during a thunderstorm so I gave them all names that went with that.
From left to right:
Frosty bunnyβs name is βFlashβ
Cream bunnyβs name is βPuddlesβ
Black Tort bunnyβs name is βStormyβ
All 3 of these little boys have new homes to head to at the end of the month already! Flash & Stormy will be traveling to the state of New York, and Puddles will be going to a girl the same age as me, who lives locally in IL!
Thanks for following along on my 4H rabbitry journey! -Myla π°

In the busyness of life we forgot to introduce Mylaβs new Holland lop buck, Felix! We got him at the beginning of March and he is 4 months old now. He has a great showable build quality and his coloring is Broken Blue Tort. Myla is already working with him on posing, so he is ready to show at the fair this summer, and we are excited for him to make some cute & great quality baby bunnies in the future! Isnβt he the cutest?! ππ°
Some baby bunny snuggles for your Monday ππ°
The baby bunnies are 2 1/2 weeks old now. Their eyes opened a few days ago and they are super fluffy. Just adorable. π we enjoyed spending some time playing and snuggling with them last night. When purchasing a Holland lop rabbit from our rabbitry you will have a bunny that has been socialized and snuggled since day one by 4 children. ππ₯° we are confident that we have a black tortoise colored, frosty colored, & cream colored! We should know their genders over the next 2 weeks. π°
The babies are a week old today! We for sure have these 3 different colors; Frosty, Cream, & Black Tortoise. Over the next week we should see their eyes opening π π°
This was the babies progress at 2 days old. Theyβve doubled their size and have grown more fur! We are thinking we have a black tort colored, cream colored, & frosty colored this time. We will see!
Pumpkin and Clover welcomed 3 new babies yesterday! This is what baby bunnies look like less than 1 day old. They are only a few inches long. They will quickly grow more fur over the next week. We have 3 different colors again, yay! These sweeties will be available in June. More updates to come! -Myla
The girl behind Hoppy-Go-Lucky Hollands. the bunnies adore her! She raises her rabbits to be tame, sweet, & sociable. You all are supporting a young girls 4H dreams. All of her current sales are going to fund her going on her schoolβs Washington D.C. trip next year. And also for bettering the breed within her rabbitry. Im so proud of her.

Waffles and Biscuits are ready to travel to their new π !! Both are bucks, both with sweet dimeaners, both 10 weeks old. They have both been handled and socialized by 4 children since day 1. They also have beautiful showable colors. Biscuits is a frosty (white/gray) colored Holland lop. Waffles is a siamese sable colored Holland lop. It has been so fun to watch his coat lighten up slowly under his belly and on his back. He will continue to lighten in color until he resembles a Siamese cat type color. ππ if you need posed photos to see body type please Pm. located in Princeton, IL. PM for details! π°
Little Gravy gets to go to his new π tomorrow! We are giving him extra snuggles tonight. π₯° β¦. Biscuits & Waffles are still available! PM us for details π°
The baby bunnies got to make their debut at our local 4H club meeting tonight! I presented about gestation in rabbits, making a nest box, a little bit about color genetics and about showable colors in Holland lops, showing rabbits, caring for baby bunnies, and more. I think everyone really enjoyed getting to see and hold them and learn a little more about Holland Lop rabbits! -Myla π°
Meet Gravy! He is the sweetest little boy. He is always happy to cuddle. He is also happiest when he can manage a sneak escape and find his way to the feed bag all you can eat buffet π€£ He has such a beautiful coloring called Smoke Pearl Marten. He may have the best body type of the 3 depending on how he grows out, however his βmarten geneβ is not recognized as a showable color type yet. The marten gene is what gives him the white markings under his chin and nose and a few other places. Because of his type he would be great for a breeding program. Otherwise he would make a sweet pet! Gravy is π π . PM for more details
Meet Biscuits π° This little boy is very playful and loves adventuring! He melts your heart when he looks at you with his sweet little face. π His coloring is called Frosty. He is mostly white with some gray shading by his tail, nose, & ears. Frosty is a showable color according to the ARBA standard of perfection. In my opinion little boy bunnies are the sweetest! Biscuits is π π . PM for more details
Meet Waffles. π§ π° He is a little mamaβs boy. You can always find him right alongside her. He can be playful and calm and cuddly. His coloring is Siamese Sable. This is a unique color. He is a sepia tone right now, however some of his fur will continue to lighten until he looks similar to a Siamese cat. Siamese Sable is an approved showable color according to the ARBA standard of perfection. His body type is growing very nicely! He would make a good show rabbit or a lovely pet! Waffles is π π . PM more details.
Hoppy New Year EveryBunny!! π
Here are our proud parents, Clover & Pumpkin!
π° Clover is the dad (grayish/black with white tips and banding on the fur) and his coloring is Chinchilla.
π° Pumpkin is the mom (orange/tan coloring with black shaded ears, nose, and feet) and her coloring is Black Tortoise.
From these two colorways our babies inherited the shaded gene from their dad, and received 3 different shaded colors. The babies are these colorings; Frosty, Smoke Pearl Martin, & Siamese Sable.
We are so excited to have these 3 different colored babies! Myla is just beginning to dig into learning about color genetics within Holland Lop rabbits! There are so many variations it makes our brains hurt lol ππ΅βπ«
More to come on color genetics as we learn!
The babies are 5 weeks old today ππ so much fun watching these little ones play on this snowy day today βοΈ
