The one question I get asked more than any other is, “So the ______ hire you guys to shoot their games?” (Fill in the blank… Raiders, Aces, Lakers.)
No. They don’t. Lol. Let me clarify because I feel like no one actually understands what Franchise Sports Media is! We’re a news agency. Think of us like your local Fox affiliate or your local newspaper. Those organizations don’t get paid to shoot the sports in your town. They request credentials to cover them. They have a platform (website, print, television) where they post their content (articles and photos). They make money by selling ads on their platform.
Could we possibly be hired by one of these teams to shoot content for them? YES. The Raiders were hiring a photographer the year I moved out here, but I didn’t apply. I chose to BET ON MYSELF AND MY TEAM. Everything we shoot, we own. We have control over everything we create and post. We would lose a lot of that freedom if we were hired by a team.
Has this been the easy road? ABSOLUTELY NOT. No one really has a clue what we’ve been through as a team behind the scenes. Would it be easier to go apply for a job shooting for the Raiders? YEP.
But we just refuse to give up on our dream and what we’ve been building. $297 billion is spent on ads just in North America every year. If Franchise had a .005% slice of that pie, we’d have $14.8 million in ad dollars.
We’re holding onto the fact that one day we’ll have our little slice of that pie, but our motivation is so much deeper than that. If someone had told me in 1998 when I graduated high school that I could live off of my creativity, I wouldn’t have believed them. Back then, it was more of the starving artist mentality. Creatives were told to have a backup plan.
I’ve been a full time photographer/videographer since 2012. I’m living my dream, and as a company, we want to provide jobs for other creatives to live their dreams. It’s possible to do something you love and support yourself with it! We want to send photographers out to shoot a Raiders game and see their faces light up because they are living their dreams. There’s absolutely nothing like capturing that shot on the sidelines of a professional game. It’s such a high!
So if you were confused about what Franchise is or does, this is it. We provide sports content from a local perspective. We are creating a platform to boost local businesses by putting their ads in front of our readers. We plan to provide paid work for local creatives. (Shouts out to the ride or die team we have now who all volunteer!!!) We also have a heart for high school/college athletes… we want to tell their stories/show their talents and let the world see what they can do!
Wanna help?? Every article or post that you share helps us build this platform! Follow us on social media! Pray for us! We get tired. Lol.
Also, if you’ve got extra cash laying around, we’re looking for investors! 😉😆
I hope this clears up the question about what it is that I moved to Las Vegas for. This is it! As a team, we’re building our dream and looking to help others fulfill their dreams, too. 📸
Happy Friday! ❤️🙌🏼🙏🏼
Y’all need to see this. It’s inspiring and touching at the same time. 🙌🏼❤️

Lifestyle shoots are my favorite. Holland Foelker makes this look so easy! 😍❤️
I’ll be posting a tutorial on how to make a GIF like this soon!
When I first started using back button focus, it was AWKWARD. I was so used to pushing the shutter halfway down to focus, and using a different button on the back of the camera just felt weird. But now I know my focus wouldn’t be as accurate if I was still using the shutter button to focus. Try it! (Especially if you shoot action!)
When I’m in Vegas, I shoot a lot of sports. This was a fun change! If you’re in Vegas and need some photos with your person, hit the button to DM me!
This is just my opinion. I’ve never liked shooting with these backdrops. I just think there are more interesting backgrounds and like I ALWAYS say, distance is the key! I like to create dimension. 📸
My baby is 17. I’m not sure how, but he’s practically a grown man. I love you, .laco! Being your mom has been one of my greatest blessings. Let’s celebrate YOU today! ❤️🎂
New intro for Franchise Sports Media podcast with Joe Arrigo and TQ!
I’ll be adding new photography tips under this hashtag with visuals so you can SEE the difference in shooting another angle or changing things up a bit! 📸
These are just three that I use regularly… what apps do you use?
Just a few favorites from my last shoot with …
She always comes prepared with props and is quick with outfit changes. I think she and I should do a complete behind-the-scenes video so you can see how fast we are and how much content she gets in 30 minutes. 😳
Is this helpful? 🤗
The key ingredient when shooting sports is your shutter speed! A slow shutter speed will result in blurry photos.
Keep shooting, my friends!
Leading lines are just one way to make your photos more interesting! Scroll to see an example. If you’re a photographer, do you ever use this technique to create interest?
Curious about my settings when I shoot highlight reels? Swipe!
I love Canon… but in 2019, I made the jump to Sony and I have never regretted it!
These days, I shoot with a Sony a1. It shoots video in 4K at 120fps so I’m able to get that buttery smooth slow motion video. (It actually shoots up to 8K at 30fps!🤯)
The photos are HUGE… 50.1 MP. 😳 The autofocus is ridiculous. (It’s almost impossible to take an out of focus photo.) It shoots so fast that I can basically make movies out of my photos if I just hold the shutter down and shoot a ton of pics.
Overall, I’ve been very happy with Sony… and I’ve shot with Canon, Nikon, and Olympus in the past.
What do you shoot with? Have you ever tried another brand?
I’ve been stuck on reels lately but here are some photos to break it up a bit. 🤣
No caption needed. 🤣

If you’ve ever been nervous that you won’t know how to pose for photos, there’s no reason to be! I’m not going to leave you hanging but I’m also not going to make it awkward and try to get you into some weird pose that makes you feel uncomfy. A lot of what I do is real life action… simple things that I snap to get some natural movement. By the end of your session, you’ll feel like a supermodel. Wanna try it and see? Book a session at the link in my bio. 😀
Last year I really figured out why my clients come back to me and why you should shoot with me if you never have…
#1) Quality. My clients are always thrilled with their photos and more often than not I hear these comments while showing them their pics on the back of my camera: “OMG. I LOVE that one!” “WOW! I didn’t know I could look like that!” “You make me feel like a supermodel!” You deserve to feel like a super model every time you have a photo shoot.
2.) Quantity. You get TONS of images. I’ve never made my clients choose 5 photos out of the hundreds I take. I give you all the photos that don’t have eyes closed or mouths open or funky expressions you never want to see. 😝 The photos that I love as a photographer might not be the ones YOU love. You get them all!
#3) Turnaround Time. You get your images in an online gallery within 24 hours after your session! (Unless there are extenuating circumstances—which has only happened maybe 3 times in the last couple years.)
If you’re tired of waiting 84 years to get your photos only to be disappointed because you end up with 5 mediocre images, shoot me a DM. Let’s get you the photo shoot you deserve. 🙌🏼📸
(P.S. I’ve got 3 spots left for January 18 in Houston! Link in below to book.)

Sometimes the delay in our plans is because we’re not prepared…
This took me a while to learn. Fortunately, I’ve had some people love me without having to prove a thing and it’s changed the way I think and move.
