Witch River Goods

Purveyors of handmade Jewelry, vintage goods, and cool second hand finds Witch River is not a physical place but instead it is a state of mind.

The feeling of being in beautiful and old places, floating on a river through the trees, like a suspension of reality the feeling that nothing matters outside that moment. I am constantly inspired by nature and I try to channel the mood of different landscapes and stories into everything I make. You might notice some of the names I post are from different mythologies that suit the character of my

Well after a multi year break from vending and being active we have finally had a booth again. It was good to get back into it, hopefully we will have a few more events lined up in the coming months with even more items. 🖤

Gearing up for the Fae Trap Fall Event at the end of this month. I have made some new pieces that I need to stage and get pics of, gathering stuff for a cool display, and I think I need to make myself a sign for my booth despite all the other projects that I have going on. 😅 Well until I have something else to post, enjoy this old picture of an abandoned cabin and my (for now) logo 🖤

Skaði
So named for the Jötunn/ goddess that is associated with mountains, skiing, bow hunting, and winter. The norse giantess is said to be the one that places a venomous serpent above the bound Loki. I made this necklace to represent the wild winter strength personified by the ice giantess and the beauty of the cold glacial frost.
Matte banded black agate, green chrysoprase, moss agate, green aventurine, lava rock, and metal accents.
Note: I have no idea what is up with the poor image quality, it might be time to get a better phone 🙃

Wow it certainly has been a long time since I have been active here! Our little family has gone through some big changes and my absence has been spent exploring our new home, dealing with the loss of my Dad, and navigating being a parent. I am currently listing some of my vintage finds and cool shirts on Poshmark and hope to get a studio space set up to start making jewelry and wearable art again soon. I'll begin sharing some of what I have available on Poshmark on here. 🤠

Hi gang! It's been a looong time since I've done any work for Witch River Goods, pretty much took the last year to enjoy being a new mom and try to find a balance in life. I've missed creating new pieces and finding cool stuff to share with y'all. I am stoked to announce that Witch River Goods will be back soon with new pieces, vintage items, and random cool junk. I have also created a Poshmark page to make shopping easy for everyone. 🤠

Brigid. Carnelian Agate, Black agate, and Citrine.
This fiery choker necklace is named for the Celtic Goddess turned Saint that Imbolc/ Brigid's feast Day is centered around. This Holiday (Feb 1st-2nd) is the heralding of spring, new warmth and light soon to be in the land.
In pre-christian lore she is known as a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann, often associated with poetry, wisdom, smithing, domestic animals and healing. She is a good portrait of a possible triple goddess with her two sisters all under one name.
St. Brigid of Kildare became associated with the goddess and holiday as an act of syncretism in the middle ages. Associated with eternal holy flames this abbess is often portrayed with flames and occasionally farm animals. It is said she was born into slavery in the year 451 AD where her purity of heart and inclination to acts of charity often led to miracles. After being recognized for holy actions she was given her freedom and brought into the fold of the church whereafter she founded the Kildare monastery. There is much speculation about whether she was a living person or a Christianization of the Goddess Brigid. Regardless, the two are entwined deeply to represent the coming gift of spring from winter's harsh embrace.
If you celebrate either holiday I hope you had a wonderful time. I have noticed the small Sparks of spring around my home and I am so excited for warm weather and sunny long days to return Soon! Winter can be tough on all of us but it can make spring's coming all the more enjoyable. 💚

Hello all, how is the new year treating you so far? Been dealing with some creative block with at home crafting, though I have been painting a ton at work and enjoying it. What do You do to help break through personal creative blocks?
I find that it's good to give myself plenty of time and to treat myself a little extra kindly.
This pearl and glass bead necklace is very simple but I love the deep color that radiates from each unique pearl.

Rán. Dramatic Red Coral and Black glass beads create this statement necklace. *$50*
Not an accessory for the faint of heart, this necklace is named for the fierce Goddess Rán. The embodiment of the sea, she waits under the waves to catch unfortunate seafarers. Often she was depicted carrying a net to aid her, the name Rán roughly translates to plunder or robbery, she was blamed for many sailors lost at sea.

Fortūna *SOLD*
Deep purple Amethyst chips mixed with golden tones set the stage for both of these earrings. One featuring decorative enamel pieces and peacock Pearls, the other kept simple with long golden chain to play on the Amethyst. These can be sold as a complete set or separate pairs
Fortūna is the Roman Goddess of chance and fate. She is often depicted with a rudder, cornucopia, or ball to represent the direction and uncertainty of destiny. She is one of the older deities to come from an already ancient culture. It is believed that before she slowly evolved closer to her Greek counterpart, Tyche, she was a fertility and prosperity Goddess revered long before Rome's founding.

Cailleach. Carnelian Agate, Moss Agate and Labradorite chips. *30*
This simple choker can also double up as a fun bracelet. Made to resemble the passing of fall into winter, the Carnelian Agate stands out the way the brightest leaves pop against the mists and gentle cool tones. The Labradorite is so fun in different lights catching silvery blue flashes that complement the orange tones.
Cailleach is a Gaelic Goddess that rules the winter months between Samhain and Beltane. She is also an ancestor deity and so I chose her name so close to Samhain because of this. Sometimes described as an old hag, Cailleach has seen many cycles of the seasons and always knows that another spring will arrive when she is finished. She also knows that you have to appreciate each change and prepare for the next. Looking to the past at this time of year and remembering loved ones is an important part of Samhain to me.

Just a few more days to Halloween/Samhain. The roots of this Holiday are steeped in ancient traditions, focusing on preparing for winter, acknowledging ancestors and the otherworldly. What are your favorite traditions for this Holiday? I love dressing up, carving pumpkins, and scaring myself and others enjoying scary stories.
