Unfortunately Coventry North West has elected a person parachuted in from London, who still lives in London and works in London.
You can claim some expenses on 2nd homes true, but the fact she’s claiming anything for living in Coventry shows it isn’t her main home and never has been.
I distinctly remember during the election campaign she told people she would make Coventry her main home. That clearly wasn’t true.
Andy Street has done more for Coventry than all of the Coventry MP’s put together.
Should’ve voted Conservatives
'Dismay' as Coventry MP puts £3k+ Council Tax bill on expenses Coventry North West MP Taiwo Owatemi has now stopped claiming and will pay her "fair share"
People in Coventry should be very concerned by this attitude from Unite.
Imposing union rule by the back door, using threats to councillors, is unacceptable . Using their position to heavily influence a public body how to spend taxpayer money…..your money should not be tolerated!
“The local group would also not be getting any money from the union for the upcoming local elections in May.”
If Coventry City councillors back down now it will be the clearest indication yet that they prioritise their union paymasters, and their own positions, over the people of Coventry.
Coventry bin strikes: Union suspends 11 Labour councillors The general secretary of Unite says the Labour group will not receive funds ahead of local elections.
Hi everyone. I’ll be getting this Friday so I thought I’d share to try and drum up a bit more sponsorship money!
We should always remember
We remember the 6 million Jews and other victims murdered in the Holocaust.
We honour the courage of survivors whose testimony will educate future generations.
We pledge to fight antisemitism, hatred, and prejudice, with renewed vigour.
Great points made by Cllr Simpson hi lighting the Coventry Labour disarray . Yet again showing they are at odds with the electorate and can’t even agree amongst themselves.
How can they be effective if this is the way they operate?
Vote Conservative at the next election to stop this ridiculous behaviour
It can’t have escaped anyones attention the awful events which happened yesterday that resulted in Sir David Amess MP being murdered as he held one of his surgeries.
This was a tragic and senseless act of violence against a public servant who was highly regarded by parliamentarians across the political spectrum.
I can’t even begin to imagine what his family, friends and the people present at the time of this horrific event taking place are going through right now. I’d like to send my condolences out to all of them at this time.
RIP Sir David Amess MP
At this weeks full council the Conservatives withdrew from the agreement to take 4000 houses of Coventry overspill housing.
Labour abstained.

Pleased to say I am now the Deputy Leader of Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
The work has already started to enable us to deliver on our manifesto commitments and make our borough better.
TOMORROW we have the chance to save our Borough. Only two parties can control the Council after Thursday. Our choice when voting this week is decades of decline, waste and mismanagement under Labour, OR vision, ambition and aspiration with the Conservatives 👇
We're less than a week away from polling day and here's another round up of some of the things I've achieved as the elected member for Arbury.
Every Warwickshire County Councillor gets a small budget to spend on local highways jobs that are usually too small to warrant a full scale project.
This delegated budget is £35,000 per year and can be rolled over from one year to the next, except if a councillor has money left in their delegated budget and loses their seat or stands down.
My delegated budget is something I've used over the 4 years I've been elected to try and fix some of our local issues which are important to us residents.
Some of these schemes, like the resurfacing of the Arbury Road/Church Road junction have been delayed due to Covid but will happen in 2021.
🗳🗳 Vote Conservative to re-elect me on 6th May where you can be sure I'll always use my delegated budgets to support our communities priorities.
Happy St George’s Day!
Today marks the return to campaigning for the upcoming elections on 6th May.

Incredibly proud to support Andy Street for his re-election.
He is without doubt one of the most committed & hard working politicians I’ve had the pleasure of working with.
He’s also a genuinely lovely person.
I hope the West Midlands vote to return him as Mayor in 2021.
Vote Conservative!! 🇬🇧

It’s been announced that at 6pm this evening there’s a national clap to honour the much loved Captain Sir Tom Moore.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I was sad to hear of the passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore.
Many many fitting tributes have been made to this incredible man who was, in this last year especially, the embodiment of triumph over adversity.
Rest in peace sir and thank you for your service.

This time last year we were in the final hours of, what was for me, a great General Election campaign. I got to meet so many lovely people & I will always be grateful for the trust so many put in me when they cast their vote on 12th December 2019.
Although I only had a small team we worked extremely hard to bring in the best general election result that the Conservatives have ever had in Coventry North West & I will always be extremely proud of that.
For me personally today has been quite bitter sweet. I missed out by the slimmest of margins but overall the Conservatives won a resounding majority & a clear mandate to ‘Get Brexit Done’.
Although 2020 has not been anything like anyone thought it would be, I do believe we have a bright future & I’m looking forward to forging ahead into 2021 & beyond.
West Midlands Police Chief says police should be freed from handling some domestic abuse and harassment complaints.
Last time I checked Domestic Abuse & harassment were criminal offences and ones which often leading to much more serious offences, in some cases the death of the initial victim.
Victims of domestic abuse are men and women of all ages. Shocking and disappointing that a senior police officer doesn’t think it’s warrants police involvement.
If anyone is in a domestic abuse situation then help is out there.

Today we remember our fallen. This time last year it was a beautiful crisp clear day where I and many others attended the War Memorial Park remembrance amongst others services that day.
No one then could have predicted what has unfolded over the last few months leading us to this, a very different Remembrance Sunday to one I’ve ever known and I hope you agree that hopefully we will never know again.
Myself and my family have always attended a service but this year we will be showing our respect to the fallen by standing outside our house at 11am and observing the 2 minute silence.
Please stay safe on this solemn day.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
