Classes start back this week with our NEW advanced Tues class 4:30pm for kiwi skate graduates. And our usual Thursday Kiwi Skate classes 4pm for newbies and 7pm for adults all at Pukeoware Hall. Exciting news, skaters! Our website is now live and we have a new class available for advanced skaters starting in Term 3. Improve your skills and join us every Tuesday from 4:30-5:30pm next term. Minimum entry requirements apply, (kiwi skate 5 (5pm class+) so don't wait to sign up!

Some of our team competed at the Rising Stars Competition in Mt Wellington. A Small but mighty team.
Nicole placed 1st in beginner 1- figures, dance and free- adults
Matilda placed 1st in beginner 1 free and 3rd in beginner 1 dance under 10.
Zoe placed 1st in beginner 2 figures and 3rd beginner 2 dance under 10 AND
Kendal was 1st in novice basic free and novice 1 figures and 2nd in novice 1 dance.

We need to do entries for this competition 22, 24 June ASAP! See the details below for dates and venue is in Kohimarama. There are lots of events our skaters can participate in, including a duos event for those that want to do a routine but not on their own. Please message or email if you are interested- we will put your name down and you can pull out later if the times don’t suit. I will help with requirements and music etc.. for anyone that wants to enter.

We have a waiuku primary jacket left behind from last week (Molly) it is in the sign in box for you to pick up.

Congratulations to all those that competed at the club championships- we know it can be scary to skate on your own in front of parents and the judges- you should all be super proud of yourselves! We could see how much you all have improved- well done.

ONE MORE WEEK…

For our final class 15 December it will be our Christmas party. The hall will be open from 4-7pm and we will run it more like a disco with Christmas themed games and prizes. Dress christmas themed. Come along as little or as long as you would like. Bring a plate to share if you want, we will provide some nibbles. Families are welcome to skate as well no charge, we would love to see parents, caregivers and siblings having a go. Hire skates will be first in first served and we will bring the mats and safety pads.

4 LESSONS LEFT! - Club Championships has been moved until the 7 Dec as then we can just do Kiwi Skate this week.

Thursday Nov 23 - Kiwi Skate testing - normal lesson times, runs like a normal class but will help decide class for 2024

Thursday DEC 7 - Club Championships - All skaters welcome - will be in the normal lesson times with invited judges.
Each skater will complete one circuit, one bob down and one balance for the judges. The judges will select medal and trophy winners which will be presented at the end of each session.

Unfortunately due to other commitments we wont be able to do the Santa Parade this year.

Thursday 14 Dec - Last lesson of 2024 - Christmas theme games and lessons

Our awesome Kendal did Franklin proud today at the North Shore Cup. So good to see all the new skaters coming through and awesome to see Kendal progressing through the ranks and skating so well.

Our incredible Rachel from star skate class competed today at AUT in the Auckland Open and finished with two firsts and a second in her events. Yay Rachel! Thanks for representing Franklin so well. If any one else wants to compete there is another comp on Sat 18 Nov 4-7pm at Glenfield skating rink, followed by a disco. We can take two car loads of skaters out to the event.

Our amazing Kendal Moore competed at AUT in the Auckland Open today in Level 1 dance, free and figures and came 3rd in figures. Well done Kendal! We have some more skaters tomorrow in the beginner events- good luck to you all.
