I spent some time at the apiaries this morning. Inspected hives, added honey supers, and reflected on all the crazy life decisions that ended us up - HERE. I was hoping since the deep earthy vibe was present that the bees might just feel it - and let me do my thing without them feeling threatened. ER, wrong. They dgaf bout’ none of that! Despite some of their spicy attitudes, business was handled.

We don’t have as many hives as we did last year, but the majority of the ones we do are very strong and productive colonies. Looking forward to bringing some more Steptoe Valley Gold to White Pine County. The bees and I are hard at work! Stay tuned 🐝 🍯

Talked with a beekeeping friend this morning and it was a nice reminder to get out and check on my closest hives! Happy to report that they’re all doing well from what I could see! 🤠

I have an order of 4 more packages of bees to pickup on April 29th, which should bring me to right around 12 hives once I split the 4 I already have (if they all make it through this winter). If anyone is looking to purchase packages, I highly recommend Knight Family Honey out of Orem, UT. If you purchase a package from them, I wouldn’t mind picking up for ya if you’d like. Just let me know and we can get it coordinated!
