To those who don't know, Maleah is also one of my exceptional students. Both her and Anna have been working very HARD meeting and practicing to present to you a memorable Story hour in the park.
And this teacher is inspired by their hearts and is SUPER PROUD OF THEM.

Thankful for being blessed with them.

Did I say that I am super proud of the students of Miss Mia that are participating in Story hour in the park ?

They are already putting their hands in the plow to help other kids understand God's love by using the talents that's been given to them. They are willing vessels that God is using, the hands and feet of Jesus at 9 and 8 years old. That is stewardship.

I am so so so proud of all of them participating in Story hour in the park. And a big THANK YOU to their amazing parents.

Last week, one of my six year old shouted "Miss Mia! Miss Mia! do you need help?! I want to help!!! " and proceeded by saying what she could do to help ❀️ lol, she is 6 😁 and ready to go.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all these amazing parents and students ❀️

Miss Mia

Odd Tales and Strange Names have some of the most captivating Children stories I have read so far.

8 year old Anna has a gift of incorporating good moral lessons into wholesome stories that speak to her generation.

If you have read the book, can you guess which story the Scavenger hunt will be based on?

Shnnnhh 🀫 It's a secret, don't tell the kiddos πŸ˜‰

You can get the book here:

Hello parents,

I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas season so far. I wanted to share this good news with you. I was invited to come on a show to talk about Miss Mia Tutoring. I took the opportunity to bring with me one of my beloved students, Anna.
Anna wrote a book sharing about God and good morals for kids. The interview was a success. If you have time I would encourage you to watch it and check out Anna's books :)

I pit the links in the comments below. Hope you will be blessed by this.

πŸ˜πŸŽ‰Their joy is my joy πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³
A month ago a parent from Dubai asked me to help their child with French. He wasn't understanding French and he was concerned that he wouldn't do well in his exam. We had one month to prepare and work it out πŸ’ͺ. We put in all that we got twice a week. We practiced reading, writing, speaking, pronunciation, grammar, presentation, intonation, and so on. He studiously did his assignments after each class and practiced like a Champ. Today he got his results and they were beyond expectation. The mark said "EXCEEDING" πŸ†. Woohoooo! Congratulations πŸŽ‰ The parents, himself and I were all rejoicing this morning 😁

If your child is struggling with French or any other language, don't get discouraged. Their hard work and a little help will eventually pay off.

I am proud of all of Miss Mia's students. Keep working studiously, your work will be rewarded :)

Last year when God started talking to me about tutoring I decided to switch my masters from global mission to a masters with a double major in global mission and Christian education. As part of my MDIV, I started taking this class on Nurturing Children's Spiritual lives. And one of the things I've been learning is how we have minimized Children's spiritual voices and their relationships with God. I have been loving this class because I'm realizing more and more the treasure that is in them. Too many times, the way we treat children by silencing them, minimizing their voices (even in the most insignificant things they say) may do exactly what God told us not to do: "Let the little children come to me, and ***do not hinder them.***" We can hinder them by not listening, talking over them, or giving less value to their experiences just because they're children.

Since then, I have been practicing as much listening as I do teaching in hope that I would decipher where they have encountered God in their day to day life. Every time I'm next to a child my ears are all up with expectations that today God will show me and allow me to peek into their encounters with Him.

So today I decided to take one of my student to the park and have half of our class over there. The whole time on our way to the park I try to be super attentive to her little stories and conversations. We played with thr sand talked about anything and everything and so on... While playing, we heard the ice cream truck and she screamed: Ice cream! Ice cream! Ice cream! But the truck was driving too fast so we missed it. I, then, promised her that I'll find a way to get her ice cream.

On our way back home, (still being attentive to her) right when we were approaching the house, she yelled again: Ice cream!!! Ice cream!!! Ice cream!!! So we both started yelling and running, hoping we would catch it this time around. And thankfully he came right by us. I bought a chocolate bar, she bought a chocolate cone.

We walked to the house and decided to finish our ice cream outside on the porch. And we continued talking... in a moment of silence where we were not talking, just enjoying our ice screams, she looked into the emptiness probably thinking, not minding me around, she suddenly pushed this long natural sigh and said "Ahhhh, Thank you LORD!" And THERE was the little moment I was waiting for. There, I caught a glimpse of a beautiful, natural, and genuine connection with her God. I was near her but I wasn't near her. She was in her own bubble with God, her own moment.

I was surprised at how natural it came out at that moment, almost adultike. Nobody told her, she wasn't learning... It was second nature, a genuine, sheer moment of gratitude because Jesus gave her Ice cream.

I was so blessed by the purity of that moment, so glad that I got to witness it and peek into her relationship with God. I stayed silent and let her enjoy her moment of gratitude with Her Father.

"Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." Mark 9:37

Children have stronger relationship with God then we think they do. It is expressed and lived differently but it is very much alive. They do need our guidance but we cannot train them effectively into a relationship unless we learn to listen to them. If you desire to nurture your children's Spiritual lives, make sure you also spend some time listening and giving them time to talk.

There is an ice cream somewhere and God wants to amaze you with it...

My God moment of today ❀

Happy Mother's day,
I love you very much
Here is my mom. Her name is Maureen. She is Canadian and lives in a house with my dad, my brother, and me. She has brown eyes, white teeth, and black hair. My mother has a beautiful smile and beautiful eyes.
