Awards winning savory smoked meats, need I say more?
We had a great time at the 2015 American Royal BBQ at Arrowhead Stadium! Hanging out with all the bbq teams and having friends down make for a great weekend. At the open contest on Sunday we finished 38th out of 607 teams! This was our best finish at the Royal, we are pretty happy with the results.
Omaha's Septemberfest was our first contest this year! We thought it would be a good practice run before the American Royal in October. We ended up 13th out of 31 with a 1st place chicken call! Congrats to all who heard their name!

Yesterday we jokingly mentioned entering the Smithville BBQ contest to our good friend Doug from Toad Hollar BBQ and next thing you know we were there prepping meat! We patched together sauces and rubs on hand and was able to pull out 3rd place overall! Congrats to Jaestar on GC and Dirt Road on RGC!
Our 7th year at the The American Royal BBQ is in the books! Yesterday we did not please the judges at the invitational contest even though we were happy with our cook. Today was the Open Contest with 551 teams. We were lucky enough to get a 20th place chicken call and 51st overall! Congrats to all that got their feet dirty!
Had a great day in Butler, MO. Ended up with a 1st in beans, 2nd in chicken, 8th pork, 9th brisket, and 5th overall out of 43 teams! Congrats to our friends TRUEBUD BBQ on GC and Pellet Envy on RGC!!
After a 2 month break we decided to come down to the Butler, MO fall festival and BBQ contest. Shaping up to be a great day!
Worth Smokin' BBQ is back!!! July 4th & 5th at Comish's. This is a fundraiser for my daughters youth basketball summer league. Come on out and see us the girls will be happy to serve you!
All finished with awards. We ended up with 2nd place chicken. Finished 9th out of 33. Don't know where we are going next so keep checking up on us.

Cooked at St. Joseph, MO. Our awards started off great. We took 4th in people's choice, 7th chicken, 4th ribs. Was getting excited because our two best categories were coming up. Then we didn't do as good as we hoped with 15th in pork and 18th in brisket for 11th overall out of 33. Congrats to our good friends from Iowa, Pig Skin on GC and R Butts R Smokin on RGC

We had a wonderful time at The Best "Dam" BBQ Contest at Smithville Lake. We were fortunate enough to please the judges and win Grand Champion! Congrats go out to Reserve Champs- Dirt Road and also to another Grant City, MO team Beer-B-Que on 9th place! Perfect weather to spend with family and friends! Next up will be St Joe's Apple Blossom contest May 2nd & 3rd.

Big day for Worth Smokin' we finished our last contest of the year and sold our smoker! We were lucky enough to bring home some trophies today. We got 1st/sausage, 2nd/beans, 14th/chicken, 7th/ribs, 7th/pork, 3rd/brisket, with 4th/overall! Big Congrats to our buddy Chad with KC Smoke Dawgs on GC!!
One last contest to wrap up the BBQ season. We are in Butler, MO this weekend fighting for $6500 worth of prize money. We will post the results tomorrow!
As usual we had a blast at this years American Royal BBQ. So much fun hanging out with our bbq family!

We did not get a piece of the $150,000 prize purse at the Sams Club National BBQ Tour finals but we had a blast hanging out with our BBQ friends and enjoyed all the fun events they put on for us. Congrats to GC Killer B's and RGC Iowa Smokey D's!!

Whew! We made it to the Sams Club National BBQ Tour Finals in Bentonville, Arkansas! We took 5th in chicken, 6th in brisket and a overall finish of 8th place. Thank You to The Stoker for keeping our temps on que! Congrats to Caveman Cuisine on GC and Iowa Smokey D's on RGC and everyone moving on!
Today we are heading out for a 6 1/2 hour drive to Midwest City, OK to compete in the Sams Club BBQ tour regionals. Its easy to say you only have to make the top 10 to move on to the finals but when you are competing against the top team in the nation TRUEBUD BBQ, the American Royal Champions Smokey D's BBQ and the Reserve Grand Champion of the Royal Clark Crew BBQ along with other notable teams this will be a tough competition. We are ready!
