Demolition of Mountain Ash Workingmens Hall May 1995. Sent in by Kay Rees Jones.
Kenneth Alfred Isaac Hunt died at war in 1944, and a foundation has gotten in touch with us to honour him by putting a face to the name. ❤ They're looking for a photograph, or perhaps to get in touch with his loved ones. Kenneth, who lived at 70 Duffryn Street in Mountain Ash, rests at Venray War Cemetery in the Netherlands. The foundation has been caring for his grave, along with the graves of others there. Kenneth's parents were Frederick Charles Hunt and Ann Maria Jones Hunt. The Flying Officer passed away aged 23 on a mission to Cologne, when his Lancaster crashed on Christmas Eve, 1944.
If you can help, please contact Tom van Mierlo, a member of the board of the Dutch Foundation 'Stichting Adoptiegraven CWGC Venray War Cemetery'. His email address is [email protected]
