CETA Global

Common Elements Treatment Approach (CETA); a modular, flexible approach to address multiple mental & into a single treatment model.

CETA is a modular, multi-problem, and flexible transdiagnostic approach to mental health. Scientifically-proven, the CETA intervention combines treatments for a range of mental health issues (e.g., trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, etc.) CETA’s modular, community-based approach addresses several mental health challenges in concert, enabling scale-up and sustainability in low-to-middle-income environments.

The CETA system of care has a variety of modes. We’re currently conducting a training for mental health providers that were previously trained in the full CETA model in our briefer model that equips them in providing time-effective substance use interventions for people living with HIV in Zambia. Our project is a robust collaboration between various institutions coming together to better mental health for Zambians.

Our partners include Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, , Columbia University, and the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ), in partnership with the UAB Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine.
