The Speckled Crow Apothecary
Custom orders welcome!
We offer a modern spin on a Victorian-era apothecary: body and wellness products (though for legal reasons, without the co***ne and he**in), as well as curiousities sure to appeal to those who are themselves strange and unusual.
New recipes, new scents, new packaging, and (very soon!) new etsy listings! Stay tuned!!
Mystery boxes have been so popular that I've decided to offer them in my apothecary as well. I love all of the things I make, but mystery boxes are possibly my most favorite item to put together. โ๏ธ๐ป๐ผ๐ท๐๐ฟ๐๐ฏ๐งน๐งบ๐
I'd love to hear what y'all think of this. If there are any other aesthetic mood boxes you'd love to see, please drop your ideas in the comments!

Some of the projects I've been working on for the past few months! It's taken a little while and a lot of patience, trial and error, and revision, but I think I've finally mastered the art of artisan soapmaking! (Or, at least the art of not ruining entire batches of soap. ๐คฆ๐)
Some of my favorites:
- Calendula & Buttermilk
- Evergreen Frost
- Just Pumpkin
- Dutch Apple Pie
Check back for more updates soon! ๐งผโจ
Today is a making day here at the shop! First up: organic, food-grade botanical oils. This time tomorrow, weโll have rose petal, hibiscus, and calendula oils ready for soap- and lotion-making projects over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
New soap creations! ๐ฅ๐ So far in green tea & fresh cut grass scents; I may add another or do a natural/no added fragrance version - what do you think? ๐ง
Because โtis the (Halloween!) season, hereโs a crosspost of my latest product: mysticats wax tarts & mysticrytals wax melts! These are for this weekendโs Feast of the Ancestors event swag bags! ๐๐คโจ

A sneak peak of some of my favorite thrifted vintage, retro, and sometimes just pretty ceramic and glass; these are so pretty as altar pieces! โจ๐ค
Final stages R&D-meets-product-testing for our large & small 100% beeswax skull candles! Hand poured in the shop with organic beeswax in a mold we made ourselves. ๐ฏโจ๐โจ๐ค
We are super excited to announce our first pop-up shop this weekend at the Orwigsburg Community Yard Sale! Weโll be set up outside Queen Bee Boutique with The Rustic Confectionery. Hope to see you there! ๐ค
Not only are these honey-almond scented mini soaps the cutest thing Iโve made today, they smell absolutely incredible! ๐๐๐ค
Here are some of the bath & body products we're working on tomorrow and this weekend!
- cocoa & shea butter whipped body butters
- face & body sugar scrubs - herb & oil-infused, and activated charcoal
- rose & lavender botanical products: toner, makeup remover, linen refresher, salves for all skin types
- and, of course, MORE SOAPS! all-natural exfoliating soap-on-a-rope bars and crystal-inspired soaps are the very first on our list.
Stay tuned to find out whether I will have been way too ambitious or if I will actually achieve these product goals! ๐
And if there's something in any of these categories you'd love to see, please drop me a comment below!
Some of the fabric for masks and herbal sachets arrived today, and I am SO excited about how cute it is! ๐คโจ๐ฎ๐
(These will be available for the Hometown Craft Show on 9/13. ๐. Also, I do ship, and shipping for these will be free as they are so light. If youโre interested, message me.)
Hello folks! I am extremely excited to announce our first two craft shows, coming up very soon!
Saturday, 9/13: Hometown Craft Show at Hometown Farmer's Market, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday, 10/3: Lake Wynonah Fall Festival (opening time TBD).
I hope to see many of you local folks there!
Our single-use individual rose leaf soaps experiment seems to have been a success! The one from last night has been dispatched to its first official tester (thanks mom ๐). I made a second one earlier with some pretty white and soft pink swirled together (last two photos); both of these pictured are lightly rose scented.
Late night experiment with a no-waste single-use soap format! Excited for this to harden up and see if it works. Ideally, you should be able to peel off a petal each time you wash your hands... if Iโve done it correctly. Weโll see. ๐คฃ๐น
(The color is truer to the second photo; the first looks much peachier than it is in real life.)
Today we made rosewater!
8 cups of fresh, organic rose petals = 1 pint of distilled rosewater (clear) and 1 & 1/2 quarts of steeped/pressed rosewater.
How pretty is that gorgeous ruby pink color?? Itโs completely natural: no dyes or additives. And I promise, it smells absolutely incredible in here!
Today we made some test batches of rose oil and lavender oil for later use in a whole range of botanicals products weโre super excited to share with you very soon! ๐ค
