These are this year's HOF inductees (in alphabetical order): 1976 Women’s Olympic Team, Becky Hammon, David Dixon, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwayne Wade, Gary Blair, Gene Bess, Gene Keady, Gregg Popovich, Jim Valvano, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker.

From the NBA to Europe: Exploring a New Frontier 🌍🏀: With the new basketball season soon to begin, here's a list of top players who have moved to Europe from the US this summer to embrace new challenges overseas and conquer Europe's basketball courts.
BC Žalgiris will be changing their visual identity in September with a new logo ahead of the new season.
“Zalgiris Kaunas is turning a new page in its history. The Lithuanian champions will welcome the new season with a renewed visual identity and logo, which will be unveiled in September,” a club statement read.
“Most of the leading sports teams have renewed themselves over the last decade. To stay relevant in a changing world, we had also to take another step forward,” Zalgiris Kaunas Director Paulius Jankunas said.

Ricky Rubio of the Cleveland Cavaliers announced that he is taking a break from basketball to focus on his mental health, a move that comes as the Spanish national team prepares to defend its title at the FIBA World Cup that starts later this month.
“I have decided to stop my professional activity to take care of my mental health,” Rubio said in a statement distributed by the Spanish Basketball Federation, or FEB, “I want to thank all the support I have received from the FEB to understand my decision. Today makes more sense than ever. Thank you.”

"I don't know about destiny or luck. I played in Athens last year against Greece NT and fell in love with the city and the fans. They say that when Panathinaikos play here, it's a crazy atmosphere. I can't wait to see that and play for this team," Hernangomez said.

BREAKING! Guard/forward Cory Higgins is out of Barcelona's squad, the Spanish club has confirmed. In a statement today, Barca have confirmed his termination as "part of the fulfillment of the financial Viability Plan" set by the club.
"Barcelona have officially informed Cory Higgins' legal representation of the decision to cancel his contract as a professional first-team basketball player that tied him to the Club until 30 June 2024. The measure is part of the fulfillment of the financial Viability Plan set by FC Barcelona," the statement read.
Higgins is the third player to leave the club this summer. 🔵🔴

Full time in Tbilisi as Spain take the blowout win against Georgia 90-64. It was a dominant performance by Spain, winning all quarters available to play. They now joint lead Group A with Turkey at 2-0. Georgia are joint last with Bulgaria at 0-2.

Half time in Cologne as Lithuania are leading by just a point (41-40) against France. Leading the scoring at the break is France's Evan Fournier with 18 points so far. It has been a pretty balanced game so far with both sides on level terms in terms of offense, the only area for France being defense so far as Lithuania led by 13 at one point nonetheless. Despite the game being so close, it has always been Lithuania in front so far.

Half time in Milan as Estonia lead 35-33 against Ukraine. Leading the scoring at the break is Ukraine's Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk with 11 points so far. Both sides have been struggling on offense these first two quarters as Ukraine fired 65% to Estonia's 35%. In contrast, Estonia put up 30% from three while Ukraine are just 15%.
