Birch Lane Farm
We bought the farm...a quiet piece of land with a beautiful view of the sunset and A LOT of potential. Follow us to watch the transformation!
A couple of suburban DIYers and our kids are taking on the biggest project of our lives.
Good morning from the lavender field!
Mother Nature's bouquet...
We have eggs in the stand!
Today on the farm...
Vendor Fair #2! Thank you to the Women of the Moose in Flemington!
Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by this weekend! We were so surprised by the amount of support and enthusiasm shown by everyone! We can't wait to see you at the next one!
It's festival time!

Visit us this Saturday or Sunday at the Allentown Fall Festival, where we will have our first vendor table! We can't wait to share this summer's harvest!
Happy Fall, y'all! ðð
Do you see them? ðŠķ

We think a wild bird found one of our nesting boxes...ðĶ...Just kidding- it's just a fairy egg! Also, how many yolks do you think are in the giant egg on the left?

Who's ready for dinner?
In case you missed our latest Instagram reel- we got goats! They're 2 Boer kids named Frost (left) and Turkey (right) ð Every day they're warming up to us and exploring their new home a little more! We love having babies on the farm!
No fence work today!
The whole pack living their best farm dog lifestyle:
Charlie (1)- immediately wanted to track down a smell
Kodi (2)- would not stop eating the rye
Marcy (3)- would not stop eating deer p**p
So it's settled, chickens definitely came first- by a while! After 25 weeks of waiting, a couple of the girls are finally starting to lay! Brigitta has laid 3 light brown eggs so far and the green egg is Lisl's first ever egg! We can't wait to see who starts laying next! ððĨ
Some late summer blooms on the farm ðŧ hopefully next spring we'll have a field full for picking ð
It was a pretty, late summer afternoon in the pasture yesterday...
Golden hour with the chick...ens âïļ
Location is everything.
The girls got a new roost this week and they love their new view! They are growing like crazy and are almost ready to move outside so we will be building their run this weekend ð

Finally, we have Maria! She's our other Olive Egger and looks so much like Lisl that we often get them mixed up! We can Maria out because of the less defined brown spots at the corners of her eyes and her dramatic squawking whenever there's another chick in her way. The drama isn't for nothing, though, because her size and confidence has awarded her alpha status as all of their personalities come out.
Our second Blue Australorp to be introduced is Brigitta! She's still working on her big girl feathers but that doesn't stop her from trying to fly out of our hands when we pick her up ð needless to say, we're still working on her social skills!
Next up is Lisl, one of our Olive Eggers! She and our other Olive Egger are pretty difficult to tell apart, but the most distinguishable part of Lisl is her on point cateye! She's a fan of alfalfa sprouts and making intense eye contact with us ðââŽ

Meet Louisa! She's one of our Blue Australorps and definitely doesn't mind being held. While doing our rounds of picking them all up, it's not unusual to accidentally get Louisa a few extra times! ð
