Cleaned up the garden today and pulled a few carrots. We didn’t have much success with the garden this year, but that’s ok! Not everything goes as planned. (Still heard a student says, “best class ever!” 😂
Mrs. Grubish’s class explored solving problems using the Engineering Design Process this week. Today, students designed their own paint brushes!
Students in Mrs. Ritchie’s class constructed a way to keep popsicles cold outside. We tested several different materials and found styrofoam was the best!
Team building-build a tower as tall as the tallest person at your table!
Playing “Around the World”-students built a tool to receive and pass a ball to each other without touching or dropping!
Students learned to harness the power of wind to lift 10 pennies off the ground!

Today was inspiring! We toured the Toyota Plant and heard from students about their personal journeys through the PLTW program. I’m excited to be awarded $10,000 to bring this curriculum into my classroom for my students!
Toyota USA, its foundation and PLTW - Project Lead The Way presented $150k in grants to 11 schools, including Campbell County Middle School and Beechwood Independent Schools' Beechwood Elementary
