“The atmosphere of your life is determined by the voices that are speaking into your life on a daily basis.”

Do you ever feel inadequate for what God has called you to do?
Maybe life in general seems overwhelming to you right now.

Don’t back away or back down from a challenge, God has anointed you for all things— even the hard things!
The anointing that is in you will teach you how to prosper. The anointing will empower you and give you divine wisdom and insight. The anointing will make you brave and courageous.

You have the mind of Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the grace of God— how could you fail?

When you feel like you can’t, that’s the moment when you need to tap into the grace of God.
After all, His power is made perfect in our weakness. It’s the point of grace that we begin to excel and break through barriers and obstacles that we never thought possible.

Remember today that whatever you’re up against, you are anointed to overcome!
You are anointed to do hard things!👊🏻

You can overcome discouragement by learning to strengthen YOURSELF in the Lord!
When David was distressed in 1 Samuel 30, he strengthened himself! Don’t look for someone else to cheer you up or make you feel better- learn to encourage yourself in the Lord.

1) Inquire of the Lord like David did. Whatever is making you feel down or discouraged, take it to the Lord!
2) Tell your emotions what’s up.. the psalmist spoke to his soul and said, why are you downcast? Your emotions can’t control you unless you allow them to. Overcoming discouragement takes you deciding to overcome discouragement.
3)Immediately open your mouth and start praising the Lord! The second I start to feel discouraged I fight the temptation to complain and wallow but instead start to praise! Turn of sad and mopey music and put some praise on!

If you’re in a funk or feeling discouraged, or depressed, silence your soul and let your spirit find strength in God! 💜

Happy Monday! Making progress this week is easier than you think!
I always used to feel frustrated and overwhelmed feeling the huge gap between where I was in life and where I wanted (or even needed) to be. The thought of increasing my to-do list daily was seemingly impossible...then I changed a few things.
1) I started getting up a little earlier each day- mornings are now my favorite time!
2) I made a list of the things that were important to me.

I call these things my EDD- My Every Darn Day list. These things have become a part of my daily habits or routines, and most of them I accomplish before 9am. •
My list keeps me focused on the areas that are important to me and also addresses the areas that overwhelm me (laundry)😉.

If you become disciplined in small areas, you can make huge progress! A lot of people never make progress because they feel overwhelmed, but doing the right things consistently yield big results!
My EDD consists of:

🙏🏻Prayer and Bible reading
🏃🏼‍♀️Exercise
🎧Listening to a Podcast
🧺Doing at least one load of laundry per day

What’s on your EDD list? ⬇️

Stop focusing on who didn’t show up, who didn’t like your post, who wasn’t in your corner-shake it off! (Mt10:14)

Start focusing on who did, who does, and the amazing people who are cheering you on!

Above all, focus on the God of heaven who created you and mandated you! Who crowns you with confidence and seals you with his approval! 👑

A question I get asked a lot is if there is a devotional I recommend for kids.
There are a lot of good ones out there, but for us we always just used the Bible itself for devotions. We would start with a children’s bible and make it interactive with questions or a skit.
As they get older, it becomes more about accountability. We still have nights that we read and pray as a family, but my role becomes more of providing a bible reading plan and asking questions- Questions like, what are you reading in your bible? What is God speaking to you?
At some point, they should develop a habit (or lifestyle) of reading the word. The more they see you do it, the more they understand that it’s a part of everyday life!
It’s never to late to get your kids interested in the word, get creative and be consistent!
What devotionals do you use with your kids?👇🏻📖
